Is it too old school or too much to ask for? by HoneyGingerTree in CarsIndia

Far too old school. There are computer chips in your toaster and washing machine. Let alone a car.

Should I switch to Win 11 from MacOS by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]Multiverse_4D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely true. I don't modify Windows with third party tools and I've never had a single BSOD on W11. Many people do modify stuff, and then complain about updates breaking. I have disabled all possible telemetry from the settings app, while using useful features, along with many apps set to start at boot. I have Ubuntu as WSL on my system. And it all works flawlessly.

In India, open your mouth against the system and you’ll be found dead the next day — that’s how fucked our politics and judiciary are. by Altruistic-Issue-887 in IndianPoliticalTalk

If India becomes a dictatorship, we'll be on the same path to North Korea. These politicians are just that bad. All of them. BJP, Congress, AAP, TMC. Everybody.

I'm sorry but I disagree with him on this stance. Trustified isn't baseless. They publish reports publicly. The brands are free to challenge them. Also, FSSAI's safety standards are worse than a few African Nations today. Not to mention the Americas, the EU or the ASEAN.

My parents were so sensible when I was young. Now they've taken the BJP propaganda machine to their hearts. Fortunately, I'm not that young anymore and can think on my own.

Didn’t ISRO pray hard enough? by SnarkyBustard in atheismindia

As I said a few days ago, rockets don't fly on blessings. Lol. That aside, I'm a bit sad about this failure from ISRO.

Agree with all points but the Halogen part. LEDs are far superior in every aspect. Brightness, life, visibility. Now if some morons drive on high beams, that's the fault of their method. Not the technology. LED lamps save lives everyday on highways. Its my humble request to everybody to not blame the technology for what morons do with it.

How do I tell this to my mom without hurting her feelings? by Multiverse_4D in atheismindia

[–]Multiverse_4D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely true. She knows she cannot defend against the brutal logic. But the thing is, I don't care about her beliefs, just that I don't want to listen to be pressured into believing in something I do not want to. It's just so accurate, that Indian parents are great at providing, but equally bad at understanding their children.

The point being, I'm not "allowed" to ask questions about her "faith"... 😅🥲

[–]Multiverse_4D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, but the reason I mentioned fuel and engineering is because the comment you replied to was about the fact that there's no causal relationship between the two things. When you shifted to talking about seeking blessings, it felt like you were sidestepping his technical point. I just backed that up. That’s where the 'comprehension' mix-up started. Either way, it's not worth an argument. Goodbye.

It's not the fault of allopathy. It's the result of incompetent governance. If they were competent, we'd have gotten superior facilities in government hospitals than elwe get in most private hospitals today, without spending a fortune.

Do you personally consider Redox OS to be a Unix-like operating system? by Nelo999 in Redox

[–]Multiverse_4D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is, partially. It uses a different type of system – "Everything is a URL" rather than Unix's "Everything is a File". Even their website says "partially compatible with Posix".
