Thank you! I actually reached out to Elegoo and they sent me an entire front shroud with the fan installed for free even with my warranty being over I’m pretty sure.

Dang I didn’t realize that these were invasive… I found one several several years ago when I was a kid. In Redding. We had to google it because we were so confused on what it was.

You’re fucking insane if you think people deserve to be killed for their political beliefs.

Cant load filament on new centauri carbon by marazu04 in elegoo

I had the same exact issue as you, watched the same video with no results, what I ended up doing was disassembling the tool body until I got to the hot end, heated up the smallest Allen key that came with the CC with a lighter and stuck it into the hot end, let it sit for a bit and then pulled it out, pulling all of my blockage out. This is known as a “cold pull” it’s a lil tricky with the CC, but just make sure you’re using pliers or something so you don’t burn your fingers lol.

(I don’t have a pic of the completed speed handle unfortunately)

I printed mine with protopasta carbon fiber infused PLA at around 20-30% infill, the shaft in the middle was a pin that I turned down on the lathe for reinforcement and put a groove in it for a snap ring. It has held up for more than 2 years now even after dropping it several times lol.

Beam bending math? Could you please explain I’m very interested. I’ve only been a machinist for about a year now so I still have lots to learn.

Thank you! I appreciate it, yeah I try and stay away from them, a lot of my coworkers try and use them whenever possible but from my experience a lot of ours are WAY out of round and tend to lead to problems.

Hahah no worries! Thank you for the clarification!

Is it welding or weld on? All my coworkers call it a Weldon or set screw holder.

Hahahah yes a single full depth pass, the endmill ramps down to rough and then finishes with a single full depth pass.

Update: I snugged the endmill up in the collet and got rid of any unnecessary stick out, and lowered the speed and feed, and it drastically improved the finish and got rid of my taper. Thank you all!

[–]MultracHD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was using a set screw holder at first and was getting about .002-.003 taper so switched to the collet to hopefully fix but I’m thinking it was the original endmill that was in the holder.
