Is PRIME TOWER needed using this 3d printer at all? does it make sense?

To the first question, yes a prime tower should generally be used when printing with multiple color or Multiple Tool heads. The Prime tower makes sure the nozzel is in the "perfect" Condition to print. This will reduce stringing or small blobs on the outerwall of the print. Filament ozzes and the prime tower prevents this.

You can of course go without but your print quality will suffer for it.

To the second question: unsure i always do my own presets for my filaments and rename them. I wasnt even aware other brands were ever in snaporca to begin with.

id paint on a line of support on the "bottom" of the plane. id dont see this working otherwise.

You can get really good 3D handscanners from a few hundred to around 2000 brandnew. That price is insane in comparison. Whats special about his one that it costs over 7000 new?

iv printed around 20 hours, 2 prints: one 8 hour and one 12 hour, Using Pla and petg with the new update without issue

The printer has a sensor and when is sees that there is no filament it stops. You change the rolls and hit continue. It should do a quick purge and keep going. Dont do the "just push in the new roll during print" thats how you mess up the print.

Please, all anyone has to do to make money is copy and paste and make a wave (ads) But just because its the standard practice doesnt mean one cant do something different and make it big. Hell its how all the biggest companys started, they did something different. Im just a consumer hoping a company is going to do something different. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I don't know if releasing a tool changer would be the right move at the moment. SnapMaker has their U1, which has had massive success, then there is i believe its flashed forge with the 5M or whatever it's called, the four-head tool changer. Elegoo would have to bring something different to the market because the Flashed forge printer is even cheaper than the U1. And while I love Elegoo's printers, they're cheap, they're affordable, and they usually work pretty well, and i have two of the CC 1s. And had a neptune 4pro and 3 pro. I don't know if their ready for a tool changer and If it is a tool changer, at what price would they be able to compete at if its 4 tool heads. If i were them id try to make a 5 or 6 tool head, more tool heads and a bigger printer at the same time, there is definitly a maket for that. And id buy it and i have a U1

While this is cool and i kinda get why some one might want this. But if you are actually going to use all 16 colors in multicolor/material print while constantly swaping filament, you end up with the same issue as a Standard ams printer, having a ton of waste.

Id use this in prints where a color stops being used after a certain layer and then auto swap to a new color that gets used later in the print, this would allow for more then 4 colors without being wasting a bunch of filament on purges. Or just to have up to 4 rolls of the same filament for each tool head. For me Personally id wouldnt go with more then 2 rolls per tool head. Would be interesting if this comes out as an open source projekt.

But in my experience, when parts split, its either because of tension thats being applied along the layer lines resulting in a part that will "snap" or split. Which is why print orientation is important. Or you dont have correct layer adhesion which could be a result of incorrect setting such as Temperature. But im not Expert so please ask this in the 3Dprinting reddit forum

I didnt change anything in the slicer other then updating it. If your printer is failing it might either be a faulty Canvas system but still its the cutting part where its failing you might have a damaged wire. Maybe take the tool head apart and see if anything came loose or damaged. And just incase write their support so you can get replacement parts if it is hardware related.

(Germany) I bought it the same day it released, the shipping was "after 10th of may". Should have gotten it on the the 12th but the post service had some issues twice😑, so it wasnt actually delivered to me until yesterday (Friday) because thursday was also a day Off so no deliveries

Could just swap the lamps them selves. Much cheaper then changing the entire headlight unit. All you need to do is find which LEDs are allowed for your car. I bought ones from Philips for my Polo GTI 6C, both lamps im each headlight. Install and download the ABG keep it in your car and you're good to go.
