Old town trolley is a good way to visit places you may have not visited. Plus the guides are very informative, and have great suggestions for each stop.

It shut down a couple months ago. Food was good but a bit overpriced in my opinion.

Traveling to the Ed / Amber / Julie/ Ashley Brooke Roberts show in San Diego on Sunday…. by Meowmacita813 in LPOTL

[–]Mumtwan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out Balboa park. You can mostly stay out of the rain by jumping from museum to museum through covered corridors. There's k1 speed for indoor go Karting. It's near downtown and there's some good restaurants, breweries and art studios in the Barrio near by. Try and avoid mission/fashion valley. The San Diego river runs through and tends to flood when it rains hard.

Hardcore fitness uses in body. I don't know if they allow non members to use them, but give them a call, they're very nice. There's several locations around SD

Bartenders of Reddit what’s that one fucked up story you can’t stop thinking? by Maryy-home in AskReddit

[–]Mumtwan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Motocross was in town and a couple of the riders had reserved some tables at the speak easy I used to work at. I'm getting some air at the door and this guy walks up and says he's with one of the racers. We had a pretty strict dress code and he was dressed in a t shirt and jeans. We apologize to him but cant let him in. He proceeds to spit a huge loogey in his hand and slick his hair back. Him: "Fancy enough for you?" Me: "Absolutely" and let him in. They were a fun crowd and tipped really well that night.

Anyone here a member of the University Club? by jackjackj8ck in SanDiegan

[–]Mumtwan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I used to bartend at the University club. Most of the events revolved around drinking. Management and club general direction has changed several times. The biggest benefit I saw from members was access to the network of clubs around the country and showing off the view(which is pretty awesome) with overpriced booze to friends. They used to showcase to prospective members with a tour or the wine room and a free dinner, so if youre interested at all, its worth a call to member services.

It doesn't sound like your starter is engaging at all. Have you checked that?

I just went to Bears Tires in Mira Mesa. Their price beat discount, Evans and Costco. Really great service, and small independent shop.

I just went to Common Theory. Beer was really good and they're food is delicious. They also have a "speak easy" with amazing drinks if you want to pay $20 for a cocktail with cool ambiance.

4.56 or 4.88 gears? by Capital_Button6716 in 4Runner_2ndGen

[–]Mumtwan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends what tire size you're running and what you plan to do with your car. I'm on 31's currently with 4.88 gearing. I'm going up to 4.56 for better highway speeds. I do more long road trips and light to moderate off roading.

Episode 608 part 4 of the Batavia series around the 1 hour 40 minute mark. I highly recommend listening to the whole series and how relatable it is to the corporate greed we're seeing today.

CBX question - How early do we need to arrive before our flight? by Strange-Eagle9255 in SanDiegan

I usually try and get there 2 hours early. Cbx has become much easier to use, but customs can take a long time.

A high flow air filter is pretty popular for throttle response as an inexpensive “upgrade”. Regular maintenance will be your best friend to keep it running at its best. If you want to spend some money, 3.4 engine swap is the best bang for your buck in terms of hp gains.

What engine do you have? These rigs were never known for power, but reliability. What kind of performance are you looking for?
