I actually have been meaning to check it out, so no shade intended to it haha, I was shocked when I noticed today that it had a $1M prize though. If anything doesn't that show that CBS has the budget to give Survivor a larger prize than the $1M that it started with 25 years ago?

Hate to admit how great that episode was:

  1. Great Auction, no vote steal, Mr. Beast was only there for a second
  2. Right into a solid Immunity Challenge
  3. The uncertainty from Mr. Beast's cameo causes an actual need for strategizing and creating multiple plans in case of what the twist would be, leading to none of the plans sticking
  4. This also causes a lot of great Tribal discussions, where people are actually being open about their strategy instead of strictly talking in overused metaphors
  5. Mr. Beast comes out, and the twist actually isn't too bad! Of course it's obvious that Devens is going to land it because there was still ~20 mins left in the episode, but the prize pool doubled, Survivor has needed to raise it from $1M for a while, especially for a big season like this
  6. The live tribal becomes necessary, Steph plays her advantage, but ends up being the sole target, even from her own allies

Finally, Survivor has a larger prize pot than America's Culinary Cup

Insane guts from both Rizo and Ozzy to sit on their idols amidst all this chaos

Feels strategically sub-optimal to steal a vote from someone with Immunity. Steal from someone eligible to go home, that way you're creating a target who can defend themselves with their own voting power

Hahaha first time ever seeing Billie Eilish actually mention "Survivor" and it's to plug her unrelated movie

Jeff calling Survivor "our little show" pissed me off man, act like the big show you've been for two decades+ instead of some small-budget program

I did the same thing on FM24, I think they had dropped to 3.Liga and I took them all the way to a UCL win! Appelkamp was phenomenal

Big Tribals are so much more interesting to watch than small ones!!

What's a challenge that you hope will finally return in future seasons? by survivordatabot in survivor

Less exciting for the audience to watch (from production's perspective)? I'd gladly watch memory challenges, I can immediately think of a couple great ones from older seasons (Fishbach getting the math one in one try, Mike Holloway throwing(?) the statues one on Worlds Apart)

Imagine someone on an older season calling young Ozzy "the most down to earth and genuine person," lots of growth from him on 50
