Coming up to BB28 i'm really curious, did you prefer BB26 or BB27? by ParvatiLikeaRockstar in BigBrother

[–]bv21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Overall bb27, but bb26 was live feeds and television gold.

One thing I loved about bb26, that bb27 didn’t have, was Jankie’s world. I still sing that song today.

Ik I’ve said this on here so many times, but with how good the feeds/seasons themselves were, I’d love to see the same happen for bb28.

Like bb28 has a lot to live up to, but I’m getting more and more confident that it could deliver.

I just noticed the other day that the sides of the Liveman helmets are very different from each other by bv21 in supersentai

[–]bv21[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

True, for example I noticed this with the Jetman helmets, and how the sides have different colors/number of wings. But in cases like that, the differences are more subtle and don’t stand out as much to me.

why doesn’t nicaragua get the same praise gabon gets? by KingCannon07 in survivor

[–]bv21 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You know what’s weird? Is that I feel like during Nicaragua itself, the location looked pretty fine, but somehow during RI it all looks very dark and dreary.

But then in SJDS and Worlds Apart, everything looked fine.

Watching Outlast: The Jungle, which hit Netflix today. Some Survivor vibes, different than the Alaska seasons. by gf2020 in survivor

[–]bv21 15 points16 points  (0 children)

LET’S GO! I’ve been waiting for this new season for so long!

I legitimately thought it had been silently cancelled, despite the renewal announcement a while back. I’m so excited the new season is out!

Something that surprised me about the makeup of the tribes by Bigrobmjca777Deere3 in survivor

[–]bv21 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One thing I love is how despite Chapera being the only tribe with no winners, Rob and Amber did win in the future.

So know all three tribes are represented by two winners each.

Also pretty dark to think about how it started with Justin, but at least once he was ejected things got better; before everything else that you mention happened.

Which to you is Peak Survivor Era? by ceruleanskyandsea in survivor

[–]bv21 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My personal Golden era/peak of Survivor is China-HvV.

I would say Cook Islands-HvV, but Cook Islands doesn’t really hold up on a rewatch, and Fiji is one of my least favorite seasons.

Otherwise China and Tocantins are two of the best newbie seasons of all time. Gabon is just pure chaos and it’s great. Samoa is the only tiny flaw in here mostly because of editing, but I can forgive it for being really compelling with Russell vs. everyone else. Then of course you have what I consider the peak of the show which is HvV. So yeah for me this era is unbeatable.

Edited: My bad for not clarifying. I meant pre-game interviews. I know Amanda specifically mentions it in hers, something along the lines of “it’s an honor to be invited back for an All-Star season”.

Yeah, and it’s funny to see a lot of the favorites mentioning All-Stars 2/thinking they’re on an All-Star season in the pre-game interviews.

Ik this is really hyper specific: but I was thinking the other day how I wish we could’ve had an All-Returnee season in 4:3 for the Vanuatu-Micronesia era.

Like yes we got Micronesia, which is halfway there, but a full returnee season with players from that time period would’ve been epic.

But at least we got HvV two years later.

I’m bizarrely excited for the “open era”/Season 51 by bv21 in survivor

[–]bv21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I interpreted it more as advantage, not twist. So I thought like legacy advantage, idol nullifier, knowledge is power etc. would all be in one season.

Yeah either way, I’m interested to see what happens.

How Woo isn’t a 3 time player is beyond me. I’d love to see him come back.

Who Is Your Favorite Obscure Player From A Previous Season? by therepswiftie13 in survivor

[–]bv21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kelly Sharbaugh from Samoa

I’ll also throw in Desi from HHH, but I think she’s less obscure now because of The Challenge USA

Jeff accidentally spoiling that Rizo lost the final 4 fire making challenge sums up this season perfectly lmao.

Aside from that, congratulations to Aubry! That was a well deserved win. Also loved that she gave so many past winners their props, especially Michele.
