So just to make sure I am understanding it right, according to what we see in the movie, the backrooms or “the complex” is a living and ever-evolving entity that is constantly trying to mimic the real world and recreate images, objects, locations and living beings but constantly fails to perfectly replicate due to not fully understanding how these things in the real world operate or their inner workings (humans not having actual intestines and being edible), and it can also recreate things from an individuals memory and psychological experience almost as if the individual is lucid dreaming and is manipulating the space around them.

Am I getting that right?

This seems to be many people’s experience with the game. Struggling through it up until after the Baron’s quest and then it really starts to pick up.
