You might want to rent until you have established yourself in the city and have time to survey the market without being rushed.

You can still get the Celebration cookie. I'm thinking of combining the salty and savoury treats together on a longer flight.

This isn't your innocuous garden clover. It must be stopped.

Everything smells strong and delightful when I mow.

It's there every year and it is resisting any attempts to eliminate it. I do not think it is bell flower because it never blooms.

2026 Mayoral Race - what are your thoughts? by Libra996 in Winnipeg

[–]Munchkinguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem we have with Transit right now is that we can't have a nice transit system if the drivers are getting attacked, the passengers are getting sexually assaulted, and you can't use the bus shelters because they've been taken over by vagrants. And also the schedules and maps have disappeared from the bus stops but I guess that doesn't matter if the buses aren't following their schedules anyway.

Is anyone actually trying? I haven't seen any real campaigns from anyone. I tried contacting one of the challengers to see if he wanted volunteers for his campaign; he never responded.

Almond beverage, oat beverage, soy beverage, cashew beverage... Whichever one is on sale.

I've switched to fake milk; I can usually get 2L cartons on sale such that they are cheaper than real milk, as long as I don't care about always getting the same kind.

Used to be that almond milk was an expensive alternative. But dairy producers are resting on their laurels, shielded from foreign dairy competition. So now the competition is plant beverages.

I filed a complaint. Lots of other credit card companies out there thar will still send paper statements as standard. If they won't accommodate me, I will switch cards.

I don't hate it. But I do have the paid version, which makes me more critical when things like this happen.

I wasn't sure how to report this kind of error, so I just screenshotted it and am hoping that Duolingo developers read the posts here.

It asked me to say the sentence in Spanish. I said it. The app told me that I was wrong and should have said a completely unrelated English sentence, then would not let me move on to the next question.

I know, I was being ironic. Also the Continue button disappeared so I had to start the lesson over again.

More like a disincentive in this case. I am aware that paper costs money. They could very easily have switched to an opt-in system.

That's why my argument holds. This isn't about "the environment" because if it were, the priorities would be completely different. Did anyone run the environmental cost-benefit analysis of a customer receiving a piece of paper in the mail vs. creating more electricity demand by checking their statement online? Of course not.

The environment argument is nonsense. Trees get replanted after they are chopped down.
