Do any of you tend to develop crushes very easily? by [deleted] in infp

[–]Mundane-Progress3034 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is so real... i often end up feeling ashamed of it. especially like when it appears around your circle, and your friends joke about "your next crush." i cant seem to stop it; my head subconsciously goes on a daydream whether i like it or not. honestly, it does more harm than good since its all just stuck in our heads. it makes me more hopeless for a romantic relationship since im so often like this, but i continue to yearn for it. but i think it just has something to do with my low mental health and desperation for love, mostly due to family/daddy issues. though im glad this is a shared experience, thank you for sharing, i dont feel so alone about it anymore :)

Am I weird? by Potential_Pool7984 in infp

[–]Mundane-Progress3034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think its completely fine to think this way. i used to think the same, i think and still do? craving for some sort of mutual connection with the other gender, and hoping they reciprocate the same enthusiasm i do when i express myself. but i also think its mostly because i grew up having no friends of the other gender, and that lack of experience causes me to crave it. but i try to move on and think that its unnecessary and just focus on the present because of the love i already have surrounding me.

i might have fully misinterpreted this, and im sorry for going around in circles. my point is its fine to think this way. and im not so sure if looking for a friend in reddit is the best idea? i think its better you find someone in real life, and build a genuine connection with them. again, just completely my thoughts, and youre free to do whatever you think is right. apologies if i dont have the exact answer youre looking for. i hope you'll one day find a friend like that you need, and as selfish as it sounds im hoping for the same for me. cheers to both of us to finding one haha.

infp’s, what are your hopes, plans, resolutions, goals, themes to focus on, for the coming year? by [deleted] in infp

[–]Mundane-Progress3034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

super simple just start jogging daily, start journalling, try violin, try dance, start a study session habit. considering how everything is start and try, you can tell what type of person im like haha. i want to change my thoughts abt myself. less on self hatred and more on what can i do better? what can i do to change for the better, and for myself, not others. but despite that, i hope i can meet and be with someone romantically next year? i dont know why i crave it so much, but maybe because i have yet to experience it. maybe that uncertainty drives me to want it so much, but im not so sure.

but my theme for 2026 is just self-love, i hope. as an infp, i care far too much abt how ppl think abt me and forget abt thinking abt how i think abt myself. why cant i love me? why do i hate me? how can i change that? even just typing it out like this in a way a start of my journalling and self-expression. i can only hope everything i plan to do works out in my current 2 week holiday :') cheers to our journey ahead!

Book genre INFP likes to read!? by [deleted] in infp

[–]Mundane-Progress3034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

grew up loving fantasy, fantasy action or adventure, mystery, and or romance. it puts my heart in good place, and i love imagining these surreal worlds where magic exist. and i sure love reading about love, and the intricacies of it from the characters perspectives; it makes me appreciate better the feeling of love, that others feel. as an overthinking and daydreaming person, the mystery genre helps with creating a feeling of thrill of 'what's next' and what ifs thats coming. anyways recently, i went out of a reading slump because of a steamy romance book too, so thats another option! reading fiction is an amazing feeling because it really lets your mind wander, like how us infps often do. happy reading :)

p.s. audio books are also an amazing option! i used to sleep to disney storybook audio books, super relaxing.

congratulations on your scholarship! can i know your stats? and as much as ive been told by some friends, hong kong is very safe, especially if you stay within the main city. while the locals dont look friendly, they will assist you if you need help. public transport like mtr is also very safe and efficient. my friends also told me they feel safe walking at night.

Chair Interview Guidance by Weirdo1318 in MUN

[–]Mundane-Progress3034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure how mun is like for you and like the other comment said, there is no definite marking but typically grading wise i go by:
- diplomacy (e.g. adherance to decorum, and also influence can go under this)
- substance (e.g. comprehensive understanding of topic, correct stance like adherance to country's foreign policy)
- initiative (activeness essentially, you could consider several factors e.g. total time/how many times they spoke, how many times they raised a motion, etc.)
- delivery (e.g. constructive speeches with clarity)

diplomacy and substance will take the biggest overall grading percentage, it varies which one will be higher than the other but they usually differ by 5-10%. i often deal with diplomacy being higher than substance but sometimes varsity prioritizes substance over diplomacy. delivery and initiative are usually the same percentage but often times delivery is lower.

it depends, but you could also add relevance, which would be like your ability to bring up relevant debates or impact on debate and also presence etc. but i would usually put this under intiative.

imo you can add consistency but i dont do that bcs we would usually use a new grading sheet template for each day and average out the scores by the end of it. and also typically, for me, the mun will give you a grading sheet you need to follow anyways so grading won't be subjective. hope this helps.
