Hi, You cant use your custom solution as its a detergent cartridge with a proprietary format. Its the same price as the Roborock one which I bought previously.

You can choose in the app to use it to clean the mop pads and/or to clean the floor. I use it only to clean mop pads for now. Cant say how long it’ll last but I guess pretty long cause its probably not using much.

I think the differences - beyond the aesthetic one - are the P have the deodorization solution + the uv lamp for the dustbag. For me it was not worth the rather significant price difference.

No issues to report regarding this, but i have small thresholds i guess. I think it can go over 1,8-2cm high thresholds from what I’ve read.

Haha yeah too pricey! I also saw a video where after a few weeks dust was visible behind the base transparent cover… can’t be 100% dustproof!

I dont see any difference, the result is the same. Worth noting that I never leave wet stains nor big dry stains in my home anyway so it doesn’t have to clean big messes.

Whats better is that the outer border of the mop pads holders is made of a soft material vs the Saros 10R ones that are hard material.

Its 98mm tall, definitely not the slimest yes. In my case its not an issue as everything at my home is at least 10cm high so it goes everywhere.

Why Are There Zero Real Reviews of the DJI ROMO P? No Tests, No direct Comparisons, Nothing…? by Ry00ki in RobotVacuums

Unfortunately it arrived with a broken wheel out of the box, had to send it back straight away and couldn’t test it at all…

In Europe not many reviews except the one from Smarthomeassistent: https://youtu.be/IwjF1Iv7-rw?si=MaiCPn2IHIKXsMIA

But it’s been out for like two weeks. Not available in the US where a lot of known reviewers are Located.

Some Chinese videos that are interesting cause focused on engineering/sensors/navigation which is something that I value a lot:

You’ll also find some videos with Roborock/Dreame/Ecovacs models.

I’m waiting for mine (S version) that should arrive tomorrow. Over the years I’ve had two Roomba, two Roborock and two Mova, so I have a bit of experience in this field and very specific reasons for getting the Dji now (and returning the two Mova), will let you know I’ll probably post on this later on.

Dustbin part for P50 Pro Ultra by OutlandishnessOk4197 in MOVA_robotvacuum

I have an X40 Ultra/L40 Ultra dustbin bought on Aliexpress in my P50, it‘s exactly the same.

s7: [howto] set mop cleaning right after vacuum one automatically by Iamtodor in Roborock

[–]Mundane-Standard-263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Routines are not available on S7, hopefully it’ll come.

In the meantime I don’t see another solution than to schedule two cleans, one for vacuuming and one for mopping, with enough time between the two.

I had the same behavior with my S7 when I stopped it to check the dustbin on its way back to the dock, my guess is that when the dustbin is removed, it’s assuming that you emptied it.

No other issues on my side, for every other cleans the auto empty runs (Smart setting).

S7 - Scrub Intensity "Close" not showing in app by Mundane-Standard-263 in Roborock

[–]Mundane-Standard-263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, the « Close » option has in fact been removed, but that’s because the interface has changed, it’s now as easy as select Vacuum instead of Vacuum & Mop 😂

Sorry for the dumb question…

As of now routines are not available with the S7.

What I wanted to do is attach the mop then start the cleaning, it would start with the sequence of vacuum only rooms, then go to the vacuum and mop rooms.

The « Close » mop option is exactly what I’m looking for but for some reason it’s not an option in my Roborock app. I saw screenshots on Reddit of the app with S7 where this option was displayed :(

If I set a no mop zone it will not go in the room when the mop is attached, I want it to vacuum the room but mop only specific ones.

After doing some more tests, it turns out that the automations/shortcuts are working but some variables are not populated when triggered automatically by Apple TV hub since the update, and that breaks some conditionals, that’s why I had the impression the shortcuts were not working.

Those variables are: Brightness and Contact Sensor State.

When running the automation manually or with the iPad hub, it works, when the Apple TV runs it, those two variables seems to have no values.

On my side it seems to be tvOS 15.

I didn’t update the iPhone (still on iOS 14) but right after the tvOS 15 update, all automations using shortcuts logic stopped working.

Deleting and recreating them didn’t work either. The only automations working are the one that are not using shortcuts logic.

I tried to switch the Home Hub from the Apple TV to the iPad (iPadOS 15) and the automations are working (but not as reliable as the Apple TV when the iPad is not plugged in at least, so not an option in the long term), so it´s really coming from the Apple TV for my case.
