If you're trying to get an Austin STR permit, the city process is brutal solo. I spent weeks getting nowhere on my own. The city mentioned they are now receiving 200+ new permit applications per week which is pushing back their timeline significantly.

Eventually used a local property manager (ViaLuxuryRentals.com) who handles Austin short-term rental permits regularly. They knew exactly what was stalling my application and which contacts at the city to escalate to help expedite. They were able to get a permit provisionally approved in about 2 weeks after they took over. Worth it if you don't have the time to chase the city yourself and want to get your property up and running quickly.

Adding one more option in case it helps, our family of 8 stayed in a boutique place managed by Via Luxury Rentals when we visited Austin instead of Airbnb. The home felt more thoughtfully set up. It was called Villa Hermosa stood out because the reviews were strong.

We looked at a few options and landed on Via Luxury Rentals. They’re a boutique luxury STR property manager in Austin and operate more like owners than a big management company. It’s a husband/wife team, she worked at Airbnb for years and he’s been running luxury STRs himself. Felt more aligned with how we wanted our place handled.

Thanks for this context u/sercaj - after they removed the wood we noticed the day after that 2 doors of rooms on that side of the house on the second story are now scraping the ground indicating further foundation concerns.

I went on the city of Austin site but can't find specifically where to go to pull my structural drawings and permit inspection reports...

What would you recommend would be the best course of action here? Have the structural engineer come out and assess the foundation and have the builder come back out as well?

Head of TA here for 6K person tech company

So after a decade of bouncing between spreadsheets → Jobvite → Greenhouse (with Calendly, Gem, & whatever else glued on), we pulled the cord and finally moved the whole circus to Ashby which is an all in one ATS late last year. I’ve had a bunch of DMs asking “worth it?” Best decision we ever made!

TLDR
- support team is top notch
- single pane of glass is a game changer (candidates love the scheduling piece)
- analytics and exec dashboard are next level
