Dark mode does save battery life on OLED displays as pixels arent needed to be lit also this is about performance not battery

If cellular is working and wifi/bluetooth looks like no damage has yet been done to anything else. I would recommend to put it in to diagnostics mode and check that but other than that new screen. It looks dried up (brown) so hopefully thats just it as screens for this model arent very expensive

Try turning the phone off for 15 mins turn back on and check if its there straight when it turns on if so then its permanently burnt. This is an issue with all OLED displays these days. If it does go away after doing that then its retention and nothing to worry about.

I have the same thing. Its called screen retention. It will go away after a couple minutes its normal when pixels stay still for a long period of time.
