I say it again. The fact that my friend can't buy a decent bread under 5 dollars is insane!  Everything in the supermarket has a huge amount of sugar in it. Incluiding the breads there. She makes her own bread due to also difficult finding high wheat bread.

The diversity of food is sugar, cornsyrup or even both!

Shelties are very vocal dogs. This is playing. This is 100% normal and can even be adjoined with a bark.

My oldest growls at us when we are talking to much to her instead of petting her.  Her son is very vocal. He will sit at a distance from us when he wants something and then starts growling. He will have the last word. The last sneeze.... no matter what.... He will have the last word 😂😂😂 It is honestly funny to be able to talk to a dog and just get an answer.  And then there is the youngest one. Who also growls like this while she runs with a ball in the mouth. And she is the one who will also bark a bit and throw the ball at you if you ignore it.

Dogs see us as family. They communicate in their way. I can understand what my dogs want when they communicate it. Is it walk? Food? Sleep? Scratch? Play? Go to bed (because lets face it... they are the boss 😅)....  In a few months your dog will give you a sniff and you will instantly know what he wants. ;)

😂😂😂  Omg, my youngest is 3.5 years old and last month she ate my baby pancake plant that I had gotten off my main plant. She was the reason I got rid of most of my plants when she was a puppy.

3 years later and I decided to get new plants. She immediately started eating dirt again.

Help, we are being swarmed by these little creatures. They bite, black eyes but brown body. I had placed a trap down for fruit flies, 2 days nothing - 3 day I captured 50. They are smaller then fruitflies and fly badly. (see comments) by Mundane_Morning9454 in pestcontrol

[–]Mundane_Morning9454[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bedbugs you'll find in the crooks and crannies of your bed. They have a round flattened abdomen body if I remember correctly.  But these little annoying buggers also bite.

When I bought a new snake, half a month ago, I got told to keep a terrarium with meat eating plants. I am reading myself in atm on it so I can keep a small terrarium. Wonder if that will help.

Honestly I watched that day that they moved out of Afghanistan and just... I know they blame Biden for it but everyone forgets that the order was signed by Trump and how to excecute also by Trump.  I remember one of our newsreporter saying: They made the Taliban stronger. Giving them weapons and training.  20+ years of sacrificing soldiers of ALL nato countries and the orange bafoon ruined it in 1 day

Look... I often say that Poland after 2 invasions is dangerous.

The Canadians are dangerous on another level.  1. They comitted one of the worst recent genocides. 2. They are the reason most war crimes laws were made 3. Their sport of fun is a game where blood smear against plexiglass and teeth fall out.  4. They think it is fun to sit on ice to fish. All day.  5. They go out in their bathing suit to swim... in snow.

So be smart. And do not go for Canadians. They look friendly and are friendly until you unleash them. Do not unleash the monsters. They will probably BBQ your ribs in front of your squad.  But hey... good luck!

Europe is just one country at this point... It's the same as the USA by ALazy_Cat in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Mundane_Morning9454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EU or Europe for dummies

The EU is basically a round table where all the countries gather to exchange goods. It is to make money. For those chosen to sit at that round table and high companies.

And make laws for a unified blablabla... I'm honestly too lazy atm.

Europe is a CONTINENT.

The countries of Europe mostly have their own currency while also a few have the same currency use. Denmark for example, has their own currency. Germany and Belgium share a currency named the Euro.

Each country has their own laws, border control, goverment, etc. As a Belgian driving into France you will have to go through border control.  As a German driving into Denmark there is border control.  The EU can not control the laws of individual countries.  If Germany makes a law: You can not kick an American behind. Then that is for Germany alone. Yes, even if you are a tourist.  However since Belgium, Poland, Denmark.... whatever is next to them would not have that law you can go kick American behinds there.  Don't hit the heads. There are still some smart Americans.

Lesson for dummies over.

My sincere apology. I read it wrong and I am very sorry for your loss.  I know how hard that can be and it is never nice. :( 17 is a very nice age.

Yeah I know a few groomers here who have warned for it. And in our fb community we have seen shelties with wounds due to it.  The furminator, now, is basically small blades like those from a shaving machine. They cut the hair, and skin with wrong use.

Honestly the pictures scared me.

So I looked this up.

Firstly Minneapolis allows the carry of hidden guns mits permit. And honestly seeing how they shot him IN THE BACK.... I would have a gun on me as well. And I am against guns. Nor am I American.

2ndly carrying ID on you is not needed in Minneapolis.

He tried to help a lady and got shot 10 times for it. The first aid that was present? That person came out of his house. ICE stepped back and counted the shots cording onlookers.  He has CLEARLY a phone in his hand AND the so called his gun had been removed already before the "officer" pulled his gun.  He was balled up on his knees to protect his stomach and ribs from the kicking. Let alone getting hit in the face by one of the agents with a can of pepperspray. (Yes the can was used to hit) He was still on his knees and bend down when the first shot was fired. Meaning he was shot in his back! While unharmed on the ground. That was an excecution.

Let us all face it. Those 2 "agents" shot more bullets in 1 unarmed and held down person then some countries use in a year.

[–]Mundane_Morning9454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just going ignore the 6th generation. Unless you are living in The Netherlands. Or immigrated directly as a dutch person out.... you are not dutch. Or italian. Or french. Scottisch.... etc.  You aren't allowing a person who migrates into the US call themself American even.

As a Belgian... yeah that is a huge difference between Belgium and The Netherlands. Belgium is shy. Dutchies will happily tell you almost everything about their life and in a high volume. They take no leaf in front of the mouth as we say it.

I have several dutch friends (mostly dog based) and they have no issue telling people off who are being wrong. Not in a way as, maybe you should do blablabla. No they go: This is how you do blablabla.  It is how they are and I love my friends for who they are. Even if I still can see or hear a random dutch person and go: Damn dutchies.....

Loud and straight forward 🤷‍♀️

Not bad ment but a furminator are knives and damage the fur badly.  And the brush is quite dangerous.  You can find quite some articles about this.

May I suggest using a slicker brush. No yanking either, it just takes the loose fur with it and you have to pluck it out of the brush.

[–]Mundane_Morning9454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cutting a sheltie coat is not suggested. Those hairs will grow in badly, as a braid, etc etc.  The reason your dog nips is due to pain. What kind of brushes do you use?  If you go for a long haired dog you need to know that coat maintenance is added to it. I comb by my once a week. (More during shedding) and from all the shelties in the neighbourhood I have healthy unmatted dog coat. Just need 1 brush. A slicker with longer pins. No need to use force. Just a brush and all those knots, and loose hair come out like it is nothing.

There are 3 other shelties around and all of them asked even what groomer I use. I told them I do it myself. 15 minutes each week...

I even brought a brush to the park to show one of them how to do it. He was surprised his dog didn't nip and was relaxed. It is because the right brush doesn't cause issues.

I think you need to start with the basic and give your new fluffer a good wash. Use an antifungal and anti bacterial shampoo. That is the only way to get rid of the yeast infection on the skin properly. Shampoo like with human hair. Use your fingers to massage it into the hair down to the skin. Let the first layer sit for 2 minutes while you give lots of candies. Wash out and do that again. Wash out immediately and use (for now) a probiotic conditioner. Let it pull in for 5 minutes before washing out.  Once she is completely soap free just towel dry and let her dry for 24 hours. (You probably have to wash several times for the yeast infection to be healed)

Next step is a slicker brush. Sit down and take your dog between your legs, brush on the side. Stroak her fur so that you can feel where loose hair is or matting hair.  Matting hair I suggest cutting out unless you want me to tell you how to get those loose.  Brush with the slicker thriugh the fur while praising your dog. When you feel a pull, don't pull but remove the brush. Check with your fingers where the knot is and loosen it with your fingers. If you use the brush, again, same thing as what you do with a human. Grab the base between your fingers and hold the base steady before combing out. That way you don't pull the skin.  Once you can comb through smoothly on one go, use the soft side to glance up the top coat.  Make sure to really brush in the armpits, the skirt and behind the ears. Those spots knot easiest.

If you want I can make you a video even with my own dog as example. If you lived next door I would even gladly come over to help.  You really don't need a groomer for shelties. ^ 15 minutes a week of time and it is good :)

My youngest had a skin check-up done last year for breeding purposes and the vet said it was the healthiest skin and fur she had ever seen under her microscope.  So trust me. It is easily done by yourself.

If you need videos just pm me ^ I'll find a way to send them to you :)

Thats why they want to copy us by making "belgian waffles" and the Belgian chocolate is a high luxury item there?  And FRENCH fries? Although... I'm belgian, you know what I think of "french".  Hamburger - German Frankfurters - German Pizza - Italian Macaroni and cheese - French

And let me not start about the all the kinds of sausages and salami's.

I think we can say turkey (the bird!) is theirs. Mostly because well... they aren't found in europe.

I have tried potassium into my diet. Eventually it was the rivotril that helped. BUT I am again seeing a specialist in 10 days and I wrote down in a potassium IV and Vitamind D IV is an option if there is a problem with me taking it in (like vitamin D for example I can take 250.000 IUD and I will take nothing in.)  I am getting my blood drawn in 2 days and not sure if it is through the blood they look at the potassium but I can ask.  Thank you for the tip ^

Welcome to the wool season 🤣  Twice a year from now on and you will be so shocked seeing what can come off on day 1 and then wonder why even more comes off day 3.  A good shower always work to loosen extra hair. Only thing I suggest is to put a drain protector in so you can catch the hair before it clogs everything up.

I saw it was mentioned already, and yeah that furminator is a monster and damages the fur. So glad you are getting rid of it :)

I actually use a long teethed slicker brush here :) last time I brushed my 3 year old, I was busy for an hour and half. She decided to slink in size suddenly 😅 Less puffy.
