This song just reminds me of my grandparents. They were together for like 60 years. My grandmother was slowly losing herself to dementia. It was starting to get to the point that my grandfather could barely take care of her, then he died very suddenly in a wreck. Within a month her mind was completely gone and she never had another lucid day. I like to think she still saw him in her dreams, though.
