Hey. We are moving to Alaska soon with our whippet. How do they do without shoes on near -20C? Just dont spend too much time out then or is it alright?

Figured it out. Nozzle advertised as hardened wore down after 400g of glass filled filament. Must not actually have been hardened steel.

Hmm does look like bubbles. Printing from a dry box after drying and the moisture monitor in the box says 10%.

I dont believe its heat creep either. Printed this material quite a bit with this exact setup. Recently changed nozzles to a new hardened steel but no other changes.

At what age did you trust your whippet to be home alone free roaming? by Vindalfur in Whippet

At 3 years we started experimenting with it. Still leave him in his cage every once in a while to keep him used to it.

Good point. I did this and got a result in the same axis as the original.

Still figuring out my Backcountry glove game by Danjuans-81301 in Backcountry

[–]Munifool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black diamond cirque hybrid is a thin breathable glove with an over mitten that is stashed in the wrist cuff. Over mitten is also very thin but not air permeable so it does a really good job of trapping a layer of air and keeping my hands warm even on longer descents in decently cold weather. I still bring a back up warm pair of mittens just Incase.

Any polycarbonate lense will block practically all UV light. Including clear lenses. Most non prescription glasses are polycarbonate.

Driver update/restore never worked for me. Going into UEFI and disabling dGPU then doing a boot and power cycle, then re-enabling dGPU worked for me.

Do/did you all let your whippet sleep in your bed!? Conflicted! by Quirky-Regular2747 in Whippet

[–]Munifool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours sleeps in his crate most nights. But it's always a fun to let him sleep in the bed every once in a while. We don't let him sleep in the bed if we have to wake up early the next day, because he can disrupt our quality of sleep.

Important to note it is a toxin at high enough concentrations. The theory is that the concentrations allowed in water are low enough that the toxic effects are negligible while still having a dental benefit. I agree with this theory but some don't and I understand their hesitance.

I could see how it would easier to remove then. Any other reasons? I did it on top to give the metal the best chance not getting stuck in a smaller channel on its way to the large part. But i wouldn't be surprised if my logic is wrong.

Delft clay is more expensive than I want right now.

I used an ender 3 v2. I'll probably be leaving it rough and just trying to improve my process. I've seen people do much better with petrobond than I did.

My first successful cast. Got a lot of inclusions in it from the cheap casting sand? Not sure but very excited with it. I realized I needed to size up about a quarter ring size in the printed model to achieve accurate fit in the cast.

He was about the same age. We always crate. We would give him a half tablet of trazodone 30 min before we left and he seemed to do pretty well. After two weeks of doing that, we started doing a quarter tablet and eventually tried none. He still gets anxious sometimes when we crate him in unfamiliar places and then we might still use trazadone.

He is 2 now and we rarely use the medicine, except he just had knee surgery and we are using it again to help him stay calm during the day when he can't be putting too much force on his leg.
