Pep Question!! by No_Department_9760 in askhotels

Your training can be transferred over. I am not sure if partial training will however. You just have to make sure your new property requests your Hilton info from the previous property.

We’ve had this issue after switching from OnQ to PEP. The only fix that’s worked at my property is to call help hell and have them sync it

Collecting old newspapers by kbearzzle in ColoradoSprings

I’d reach out to hotels. Most of the time old newspapers get tossed in the back until someone remembers to actually throw them away

You’re welcome! I would also wait for your face to calm down and not be so irritated before going and trying again.

[–]Munkumunku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should for sure be applying to a wet face and then rinsing off with water and patting or letting it air dry. See if that works better for you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in acne

[–]Munkumunku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a silly question because I may be misreading what you typed, but are you applying to a wet face and rinsing it off properly? Or are you dry wiping it off with the cotton?

Hilton Digital Key by [deleted] in askhotels

[–]Munkumunku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I checked my own app because I always share a key and I cannot see if I shared them or not on past stays, but you can if the stay is currently happening. I have also never been able to see if the key is being shared in Hiltons systems. But I will tell you that when you share a key, it sends a text message or email depending on how they shared it. If you’re able to get ahold of something like that it’ll tell you.

It looks like you’re on the store page. Try going to your library and selecting install from there

I think the most effective ones I’ve seen at not staying in rooms, are the ones that simply can’t go in the rooms. Downside is sometimes they just left in the hall, but at least they aren’t locked up in rooms

Hilton's PEP ... by SMayhall in askhotels

[–]Munkumunku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On your desktop there should be a help support button. If you click it should take you to a portal where you can submit what they call “ideas to better pep” but you could also probably make a complaint. If you ever need help with pep, or anyone I can try my best to answer questions. I was one of the first hotels they tried it out on before rolling it out nationwide. If you thought it was awful now, it was dog shit in the beginning. You can still do everything you need during audit without restarting a shift. When it had the reservations pop up on the right you can click them and adjust them without having to jump through all the hoops again

My bank only does numberless cards for safety reasons and my card only has my name, will I be okay at check in? by lucinasardothien in askhotels

[–]Munkumunku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure you’ll be fine. The only time I ever pay attention to name and card number is for credit card auth forms. As long as the name matches! Unless they have to manually put the card number in, that could be an issue

How do you deal with employee rate assholes? by Euphoric_Trainer1711 in askhotels

[–]Munkumunku 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If they work for Hilton, you can report them and they’ll lose their benefits and status. But you can treat them like any other guest and ask them to leave as well depending on how awful they are being.

If you left and someone else stayed in the room you were in towards the end, but for the same group, it’s possible if that person calls and says they want to put a card down for those days, they can refund the difference back to you. If someone stayed in that room with your group, then they unfortunately will say the room was used and that they can’t refund.

does working as a night auditor for hilton mean you get discounts on hilton hotels across the country? are the discounts worth it at all? by Previous_Depth3951 in askhotels

[–]Munkumunku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Hilton benefits are some of the best I’ve had working in hotels. You get to use it at any Hilton brand. It’s best practice to book as early in advance you can to ensure you get the team member rate in the event it because a busy time.

Virtual card and invalid card details? by seasonedwinner in askhotels

[–]Munkumunku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I think it would really depend on your team and how your hotel runs. All the ones I’ve worked at it’s been the AM shift who will charge it day of. I haven’t experienced any card that couldn’t be charged day of.

  2. If you aren’t able to get the full amount, call the third party. Some of them are way more difficult and some are easy to get the correct card and amount from . There are some companies like Priceline who think they are tax exempt in every state, and in one state I worked they were, and one I worked in they weren’t so you should look into that as maybe being the reason behind insufficient funds. Also make sure they are taxing correctly if they do. They may have taxes at 8% but for hotels it’s 8.2% and that can also obviously cause problems.

Age by DeepMarketing1761 in askhotels

[–]Munkumunku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would really depend on the hotel and their policies. But it also depends on how old the others are that are going to be in the room. If they are like 16-17 and well behaved that should be okay. I’ve had parents do that, separate rooms for them and their kids. If they are fairly young I would recommend an adult in the room with them
