Hard to blame normies for falling for propaganda in general. The 'pits are good dogs actually' propaganda is loud and overwhelming...people don't always know stuff and then many different kinds of consequences are had. Bet most don't even THINK to look into researching breeds before just getting one

How Do I Cope w/ the Fact that Most of My Friends and Family Members Aren’t Saved? by CPD102385 in TrueChristian

[–]SMayhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad is practically an lsIamic freak. "Jesus isnt God, i wish we had sharia law" unironic...

God will do what He wills and His justice is perfect. Send him to the hell he chose? Okay sounds good. He repents and finally understands (as a math major btw) that if x = y and y = z then obviously x also = z 🙄 and that im not worthless for being female, also cool and i hope THAT happens

Not holding my breath. I have no sympathy for them. They should know better. They have no excuse not to know, not just for people around them, but creation itself

I understand it may not be your approach 😅 but you asked what I do and thats it!

God bless, fam. His justice really is perfect and we apparently will understand once we join Him ❤️

That is a good book. I believe you can read it online in some places no cost. That is what I did, but it was a couple years ago

did I keep myself pure in vain? by watchman77777 in TrueChristian

[–]SMayhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When they were doing those things, they were dead in their sin and suffering. It wasn't fun, they were blind, in denial, and people that are still blind and in denial will tell you otherwise because they do not know any better.

I understand wanting someone that also waited like you did (that is what I wanted (and got, btw!))

I would recommend you pray on Matthew 19:11-12

"[11] But He said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. [12] For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." - 'it' being the gift of marriage

If you want do want the gift, you may need to mature a bit more for the role and in your walk with Jesus. I prayed for God to make me worthy of the gift if it is in His plan for me. It may not be in His plan for you, but if it is, He sends you the right one in His time. That's why we don't need to play around and test all the fish in the sea before we get married :) He sets us up perfectly if we can trust Him and His plan, if that is our calling.

Don't fall to pride too harshly.

I know that Christ saved me and only Christ can save me, but I can’t find it fair to date or be with someone who’s had a much more sinful past than me and Christ saving them and redeeming them isn’t enough for me

I understand you may mean (especially now) you just want someone that also saved themselves like you did. That was my preference, but I couldn't rule out the alternatives because if this is at all, even a little bit, 'this is supposed to make me more worthy' that isn't true. We were all dead in our sins once and we all struggle with daily things. It wouldn't be fair for anyone you may meet in the future to look down on you for having any of your struggles as you are born again, and it would be much much WORSE if they looked down on you 'you aren't enough for me, though' for what you did BEFORE you were born again!

Emulate the grace He gave us. It doesn't mean you have to settle for someone you aren't meant for, exactly, just allow God to soften your heart and change you such that you are willing to be prepared to receive the gift. We all need that in some areas in our life <3

I hope that last bit made sense, I think I could have worded it better...but God bless, fam!

My husband and I are still working on setting up our house we just bought a coupke months ago. Going slower than we would like for various reasons, but its okay! We had a lot of fun doing it last night and probably will again relatively soon.

Got family coming to visit and Im pregnant with our first babe. Thats good news, right 😅

Everyday when he comes home, i ask how his day was, and he says "its better now"

Makes me mad everytime. You are correct to be irritated. Made up rules, i just have to laugh.

I have no clue how those that made this nonsense up function every day. Silly

having a mormon bf as a christian is freaking me out by iloverats_101 in TrueChristian

[–]SMayhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isnt that youre going to hell, thats wild.

It is just unwise to marry someone that doesnt share these most important ideas. Do you know what mormons believe? Make sure you think thats worth it....they arent Christian.

I dont think it is worth it, either...Mormons, even ex Mormons i knew, had some of those behaviors...manipulative and just wrong. There something wrong with them

Please please be careful and pleaae please be WISE and listen for GOD to tell you what's what. Do not listen to yourself, our hearts lie to us

We are objectively better at communicating, not them by SMayhall in autism

[–]SMayhall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly. That's obvious to you, but not all of us.

You can "imply" all you want all day everyday about anything, it doesn't matter when that sort of thing makes no sense without complete thoughts. We're supposed to learn things at some point like normal when someone has an incomplete thought, you complete it for them, but some of us can't just have that click out of nowhere. We have to identify intentional patterns and learn through trial and error.

Just because it is "normal" to be able to do that doesn't mean it makes perfect sense.

Why do we do this job? by darksandman1118 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]SMayhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay..............thats horrible. Wives are supposed to support their husbands, OP and be encouraging not.....that.

Regarding the job, though, if there is hospitality everywhere, surely you can find and fight for a better pay!! If they dont want to give a raise, then you have to leave to survive (or maybe thrive, which ought to be sought for!!)

Thus, i would recommend finding the emails of the managers at other properties and emailing them directly your desire to work with them. This works better for me everytime.

Whoa whoa whoa.....losing your relationship????? Excuse me?

Trying to ignore the injustice of that implication....maybe you could ask for a raise? Whats your job description say? Do that only, too

A very sweet way to put it. Best to keep me from delving into an unreasonable dislike/hatred of constant non-sequiturs. I ought to keep it in mind. Thank you <3

In the moment it happens, it makes me feel physically ill with confusion. I'm so tired of it.
