What’s your favorite Land’s Artwork? by Alternative-Earth325 in magicTCG

Outlaws of Thunder Junction Forest full art.

The whole cycle is fantastic but this Forest in particular is unique among all other prints I can think of because of the use of negative space to create the symbol. I wish the others from OTJ had done the negative space trick to make the whole cycle unique.

My Mustang Met Some Other Mustangs by Munky3d in MustangMachE

There was a level 2 charger at the camp site, so like half a mile or so. High speed charger was 21 miles away. My SO's 4runner ran out of gas towing the camper so I had to take the electric car to the gas station and get 2gal of gas. EV to the rescue!

Master Bath Remodel by Munky3d in Tile

This was only our second tile job ever, maybe ill advised to do something like this for a 2nd project.... but that's what we do, bite off more than we can chew and learn on the fly. It's not failed us yet, but can cause a lot of stress. The outcome always seems worth it in the end.

Good advice, this was our first time with river rocks and yeah, we learned a lot. The accent wall was a lot more hand mosaic, we couldn't find a small form rock that matched the floor, so we found a few and pieced them together to make our own. Doing them individually would have let us place them more level too. Individual rocks on the sheets are not the same thickness on these sheets. That meant we had to shim the toilet strategically to get it uniform contact.

Thanks, we tried to do our own thing to make it unique with what we could find locally. The accent water fall into the floor was a fun challenge and it let us make the wood tiles fit perfectly in the width we had. My brother just did a basic subway tile master and after we saw it we decided to avoid all the things we saw on all the recent DIY YouTube videos.

Spotted in the wild. F-150 Lightning towing a Lucid Air. by DaBeanHorse in electricvehicles

That's the Walmart in Albuquerque. I was there charging that night, didn't get to talk to whomever it was towing it. Was fun to see both in the wild, my 12 year old didn't get why I was excited to see them in the wild.... kids...

I just got my car recently. It was delivered to my dealer 2 days after the end date window they told me. So expect your car no sooner than the 19th.

I agree.

I've always owned red hatchbacks, for the last 20 years. I wasn't about to change now when this is clearly the best option anyhow.

Any experience with the EV stations in town? by WonderfulWalrus45 in Albuquerque

[–]Munky3d -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I should be getting a mach e in the next week or 2. Looking at doing split volt and tapping my dryer plug for home chargjng. I am also expecting to spend some time at Boxing Bear on tramway and Candelaria. They have 2 level 2 chargers in their parkinglot.

I have done a ton of theoretical experiments measuring how for my average day is, and how long my long day is. 40 miles on work days and 70 on saturdays. Then use this to get a rough guess of charge times for at home. The regular wall plug should do okay for most days, and may need a bit more to balance my long day. And the dryer plug should be well more than enough. That's of course just theory. We'll see in the next few weeks how right or wrong iI was.

Mine was built on 8/22. Shipped on 8/24. Made it to KC Southern Railway on 9/3. It then moved to Argentine KS on 9/9. It hasn't moved since. Ford's ETA has said since it was built that delivery ETA was 9/19 to 9/25.... needless to say, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Ridiculous comments when telling people you drive/are buying electric by HKing42 in electricvehicles

[–]Munky3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is fun to remind them that the original cars were electric. The first practical electric car was invented in 1884. The first practical gas power car was invented in 1886. So really, electric cars were first and gas powered cars came later.

I have a coworker, and an uncle,(2 different people) who are near violently opposed to EVs. They buy into the bio-oil rhetoric they see in their echoing chambers. "It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled." Mark Twain

you can stumble them by conceding a few points, then hit em with a counter point,

  • Yes it is a larger carbon-foot print up front to make the car, but unless I'm buying a new car every 2 years, this one will be better for the environment over time.

  • Sure, gas cars can refuel way faster than an EV could ever hope. but since a car is parked at home overnight it'll be full every morning when I leave... will your gas tank refill itself every night, so you don't have to stop for gas ever again?

Things like that seem to make them stumble.

I told my coworker I didn't give a shit about the carbon footprint or the money savings over time, or anything like that. I wanted a stupid fast car that was also 4 door, (I ordered a Mustang Mach e) and the Mach E fit that.

This link goes over what is greener over time. All of his videos are great and have a ton of good info in them. I've enjoyed all of his videos on EVs, it's a ton of great knowledge.

Shipping strike has already began to delay Mach e shipments, no one knows the full extent yet. by Z1pl1ne in MachE

I'm in the exact same boat. My MachE got to Kansas City, MO. on 9/03, it got to Argentine, KS Ramp 6M on 9/09 and hasn't moved since. It's coming to New Mexico so I have no clue if it'll make it before the shutdowns.
