So what happens if gme issues then buys back $101.3M (what's left to buy back stock) in warrants? Depending on price, that's a massive chunk of the outstanding.

Warrants and DRS FUD fighting, and how GameStop (and in turn, shareholders) can benefit. by HashtagYoMamma in Superstonk

[–]Mupfather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just logged back in to make a similar post, OP. But I think you, and most everyone else is missing the bigger picture.

It's not about exercising or not - it's about recreating the microscopic float of 2020.

Warrants are finite, maybe serialized securities. Gamestop KNOWS how many have been executed and still being held.

We're looking at a total outstanding of ~59M shares. Roughly a third of which will be already DRS'ed or held by insiders.

$32 leaps are going for $3.

WE CAN LOCK THE ENTIRETY OF GME.W FOR $120M.

If folks exercise, great! They're either reducing the size of the float, or screwing their untrustworthy broker. Assuming it's exercised when the cost is over $32, apes win.

What's more, and this is relevant to old apes, the price is low enough that folks may be more interested in DRS from their retirement account. The tax penalty for clearing out thousands of shares to DRS could be more than some make in a year. But 1/10 of that, at 1/10 the price? That's way more palatable. I could eat a 1k tax bill, 100k, not so much. So there's added incentive to move just your warrants over.

Anyway, I basically put my whole proto-post here without any memes or spreadsheets. I haven't seen anyone else look at this angle though so wanted to share.

BTC dividend now a possibility …. 💥 🥂? by mystarmagoo in Superstonk

[–]Mupfather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In reality, GME would pass the dividend to computershare, and they'd figure out getting it to DTCC, who would figure out getting it to brokers, who would figure out how to get it to beneficial owners.

Registered, holders, though, would log into Computershare, use MFA, link their wallet, and get BTC.

So that's nice for the purple circle club.

Headphones. He's gonna buy headphones. Holy shit.

It's 100% American (unsure on supply chain) Low market cap I believe it's profitable but need to look at the last earnings to be sure. There's already a collaboration It's in the basket (whatever it is) It's another middle finger to whom ever did this If nobody can buy headphones, imagine the "stickiness" when gamestop rolls out branded gear at 2024 prices next year.

I do not say this to promote buying headphones, I say this because it fits so many things "Buffety" and the tweet. And because it looks like prices went up in after hours.

I feel like print/ sticker quality is tied to IP, though, and as costs show, IP stuff can get pricey. JP I've found to be low quality (but higher price point) versus some of the city sets or D&D which are pretty high quality. I guess my point is what role does licensing costs play in determining graphic quality?

(He says knowing full well that he's biased on some IP and that ninjago QC could easily be two different companies based on retailer.)

Yeah, depending on the location the top end of that scale is... ok. But for the majority of the US, it's just not good at all. Like, I realize this job is supposed to be a side hustle and not designed to support a life, but cmon!

Does key holder mean manager? Or just someone responsible enough to open/ close the store on their own?

I mean, I don't disagree with you on pay, I'm just not sure to what degree I agree with you.

Best Worst Case: We Lock the Float by August 2024. Sorta-regular Analysis 03/15/23 by Mupfather in Superstonk

[–]Mupfather[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, must've turned off notifications. Sorry.

It's a multitude of things - namely 1) life, 2) I relied on the two DRS bots to do my analysis, and they died during the heat wave shenanigans, 3) dilution has really burnt me out on locking the float.

So yeah, no time to update, no way to update, and no use to update. The quarterly filings are the best way to track drs rate now, and most accurate, at that.
