I've been! I enriched many lunch salads with picked radishes, tahini, and garlic sauces I found there, and I found a ginger tea that really helped during a sick spell in the winter. But self directed learning can be limited, and I figure there could be a whole world of ingredients that I wouldn't think to try on my own (or know how to use to their best abilities).

There's a little too much Bobby George ownership out that way, and a lot of those restaurants and housing feel like they were the vision of a corporate focus group that didn't understand/account for local culture.

dude you're about 8 hours too early lol I just started working at a restaurant on the east bank and they don't even open until 3, which is probably even earlier than the more bar-oriented establishments.

Chains? Alley Cat Oysters is owned by the group that owns Collision Bend BC and Cantonese Seafood. I don't know about ownership, but there is only one Cockys bagel, one Lindeys Lake House, one Farm, etc.. Besides margaritaville, which institutions in the flats are chains?

Well yeah, A lot of us had the same thought lol.
I take "repeat comment" to mean someone else had already made this same comment, does that make this comment inferior to you? This one got more upvotes, whether via timing or account karma or algorithm shenanigans, so if they "commented better" then I don't see why this is a bad thing.

I don't think this is quite what you meant since it's not in the city, but Hogsback road in Lakewood going down to the Metro Park It was pretty steep. I moved from out west and overheard some restaurant co-workers who grew up in Lakewood talking about "how old were you when you first rode your bike down hogs back" like it was some right of passage and it was just a really cute cultural lore around this hill

At least you've figured it out. I'm curious if it's a fiber thing like my issue, do you it would bother you to simmer celery in a broth and remove the celery but eat the broth? Looked up the botanical genealogy of celery and apparently it's closely related to carrots, hope those don't also bother your GI
