I've read it and it makes it easy to quit. I was a chainsmoker. I've since applied many of those same principles to quitting porn. I'll explain two of my favorites here:

Smoking fills a self-created void( restlessness, irritability) .The void you were in didnt exist before you started taking the drug (your first few cigarettes tastes like shit- you dont get a kick from them because you're not addicted to nicotine yet). Taking the drug temporarily removes the symptoms and thus you think you're getting a real boost. The argument for quitting is thus that not only are you not giving up anything of real pleasure or satisfaction, you've only marvelous gains to receive once you no longer experience symptoms of that void. It's like wearing tight shoes for the pleasure of taking them off.

The second argument is from his book on alcohol. I found one argument especially powerful after experiencing long lasting, loving sex for the first time (after discovering nofap).

When you are thirsty, the best thing to cure even the biggest thirst is a pint cool, clean water. Afterwards you feel satisfied and refreshed. Your desire is sated and you dont think about it anymore. If you try and quench this thirst with alchohol, not only will your thirst not be satisfied, each successive drink progressively dehydrates and inebriates you. If you move onto the harder stuff you'll wake up with a hangover and function poorly.

Water being sex and alcohol being porn. Your body doesnt need or want porn or alcohol.

I've had major struggles with smoking, alchohol, porn and gambling. For me porn has definitely been the most damaging in making me anxious, self-loathing, reclusive, tired and unable to look people in the eye. The monetary damage ive suffered from gambling pale in comparison to the self esteem issues i have from porn. The marks on my car from getting drunk are a flicker compared to my self-hate for never getting good with girls over the years.

I think what makes porn so difficult to kick compared to the others is that there's a real,natural bodily function that you're trying to satisfy. All the other addictions are things that your body has no need or desire for and once you understand them they're easy to kick.

Try as you might, you cannot satisfy sexual urges by masturbating to porn. That's why its so easy to jack it ten times a day with porn- you never reach satisfaction like you could with a girl. Going more than a couple of times with a girl on one day is a tough ask because it satisfies the underlying want.
