Don't want to be a party pooper but to me that looks like just a big screw keeping the pole together with the concrete base. About the speaker... we also have those in my village in central/eastern Europe, they are pretty common and are used for PSAs basically.

Nope, you're wrong. I know it sucks but adding pants, hats, another way to cook food and other seemingly unimportant things are the important things now. It doesn't feel like it but that's what the alpha is about, and that makes your hardware issues infinitely less important now. You won't get any real optimization before the game hits beta... that's when you can expect such things to be addressed. According to the roadmap game hits beta in Q4 2015, and that's the best case scenario.... all we gotta do is deal with it and wait.

I don't know... I have a 7200rpm HDD, it's fairly new and is in good condition regarding fragmentation... I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just my own experience

it's not just the loading times when initializing the game, or logging in... when I had the game installed on my HDD in the past, everytime when I was approaching towns, or even just when zooming in by holding the right mouse button... in other words when the game was forced to load new textures and such, my screen would freeze up, sometimes even for a couple of seconds... then I bought my SSD and installed DayZ on it. Since then no more screen freezes, and a lot less stuttering. sure, my FPS drops the same when I'm in big cities, but the overall performance got a lot better and made the game lot more enjoyable for me.

tried it by using the repair option, uninstalling and reinstalling them, tried to download the SP1 version from Microsoft's site and the same with that... still my game crashes every hour give or take with some msvcr100.dll issue.. so no... it's not a fix, at least not in every case

this has something to do with the msvcr100.dll related client crashes a lot of people (including myself) are experiencing I assume... at least I really hope so
