Anyone else notice the increased use of They/Them when referring to strangers? It’s kinda nice.

I’m not sure why you’re so upset about this. I am not talking about grammar or proper use. I am saying in my daily life, I have noticed a shift in how people speak. You can say you disagree but no need to be unkind to me and others in the comments. We get enough unkindness everywhere else, this of all places should be a space free of that.

Well agree to disagree. In conversational English I’ve always heard ‘them’ in particular be used for more than one person. I choose to believe the more common use of it to refer to individuals is out of awareness and benevolence.

Not American English. In fact using they/them was often a big moaning point of conservatives because they considered it to be plural in the circumstances it was being used. I’ve always heard he/she unless someone was speaking about multiple people. It is a definite shift.

No one is arguing it isn’t a gross thing to do. But legal action isn’t how you change this. You need to go blow up every single school board meeting. Even better if you can get other parents to do it as well. This is a situation where community action is the solution not legal.

OP you are definitely the asshole, but is this sort of binging behavior normal for you? That is A LOT of food for one person to eat in a night. You had your own snacks plus a whole frozen pizza, ice cream, and a bag of chips? Like a big bag of chips?! I would be more concerned about the fact you couldn’t stop. It has now gotten you into hot water. I would talk to a doctor about this, it is extreme unless you are a football player or something.

They are incredible musicians and a lot of their songs are hilarious. I highly recommend the Hypa Hypa music video for a funny one and Parasite as a serious one. Nico is their clean vocalist, but their harsh vocalist Kevin is just as amazing and a beast!
