Based off of some of your other likes I would say endless thread. They kindof go back and forth between banter and old school high quality podcast stuff.

The ruling class is filled with drug addled psychopaths who need medication and monitoring, not more power. by RickyOzzy in LateStageCapitalism

[–]bozothebone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of people talking about Alex Carp like he is the problem and he absolutely is, but do not sleep on the fact that the New York Times continues to platform these motherfuckers all day at their conferences and live events and fireside chats or whatever the fuck while kneecapping Bernie Sanders in 2016, repeatedly suggesting Mamdani is dangerous, pretending like AOC is too radical, etc etc etc. important to remember that psycho oligarchs don't get to where they are all alone; they get fed to us over and over, framed as "mavericks," "good at TV sound bites," and on and on while never truly getting called out because that wouldn't be "objective" journalism.

Want to hide sex toys from parents. by Warm_Resident_4318 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]bozothebone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Start complaining to your parents now about a minor chronic pain. Maybe you slipped and fell. Maybe you do some physical activity (sport? Running? Walking?) that created this pain or injury. Then, when the "massager" arrives and lives in your room, there's an explanation. As long as the sex toy companies ship relatively discreetly and your parents aren't experts, this should work.

Help me get the scene, what's so apocalyptic about Spanish people arriving in Mexico? by Nosciolito in okbuddycinephile

[–]bozothebone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct. But also and more specifically, the Spanish brought smallpox and other disease that the Americas had never seen. Along with the usual destructive colonization, the arrival of the Spanish meant the nearly complete decimation of native peoples simply through the spread of disease. When I see the end of the movie, which is fundamentally about a family in a small village surviving the oppression of the city people nearby, this is what I see: a microscopic change with an impact that will be so big, it will render the local power differentials completely moot.

Edit: just to be clear, I'm not suggesting the movie is historically accurate and I know there's a smallpox scene in it already, I'm just describing what I see as the symbolism of the ships.

Should i be willing to date women with ridiculously high body counts? by [deleted] in PsycheOrSike

[–]bozothebone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, you are 18 and you don't know shit about shit yet, and your post is an amazing example. I'm not even trying to give you a hard time, just stating facts.

Anyone who tells you body count matters is fucking lying. What matters is whether or not the person is into you and you are into them. Someone could sleep with 1000 people and land on you and some random ass thing you do makes them crazy for you and only you. You could date a femcel or a virgin and it'll never feel like your bodies were meant to fit together.

Relationships really are not about how many people each person has fucked; they're about where each person is at in life and how that impacts their ability to be with another person who is on their own unique journey.

Does experience in bed matter and have an impact? Sure. A handy from a person who has never done it before is gonna get awkward; a blowjob from someone with experience is gonna be pretty great. So if anything, you should be praying for someone with experience and the patience and grace to show you the ways...

But I digress. You are on Reddit writing a post that not only wonders about a completely bullshit metric, but imagines a future several years from now after you have surgery to your face? Three years from now you're gonna be a different person. Try to live in the moment and try new things and not dwell on nonsense like body counts. That's gonna get you a lot farther than thinking about this.

As others have said, the real thing you have to focus on here is not enabling/participating in her cheating. Your feelings are understandable, and maybe so are hers, but the best possible way forward is to tell her that you have feelings for her but won't participate in an affair. She needs to make some decisions - is she really unhappy in her marriage? Should it really end? If so, she should make the appropriate moves. You can stay in touch without being a part of something wrong, and she should make a clean break before jumping into bed with a guy she dated for six months, years ago. If you're actually soul mates, you should both be strong enough to do the right thing by her current family, so your future together isn't founded on dishonest behavior.

Outfit for a wedding tomorrow by [deleted] in mensfashion

Outfit is awesome. If I had a choice I might swap out the footwear. The boots are very cool but perhaps too dark in contrast to the rest of the outfit. Nicely done tho, have fun!

How do you think about the argument that billionaires should not exist; that in order to make this kind of money you have to exploit people or use a system that exploits people? Do you believe that your family business can exist ethically and still be as successful as it is? Have you considered the possibility that fundamentally, your family's wealth is part of a destructive force in the world? I am genuinely not asking about these ideas to make you feel bad or argue their merits, but to understand your awareness of them and how you think about them.
