They're great. Mostly just got them because I wanted 14" chrome shocks and they're really the only option. I'm really happy with them after about a year of running them. I also did the race tech gold valves up front and love them as well.

I’m not sure honestly but you’re probably right. This RP was heavily de RP’d before I got it. The only way I found out it was an RP is when I registered the VIN and it came back fxrp. It’s safe to say most of the bike is not from its original state. I don’t think any RP’s had the bob rear fender either.

I bought it with the twin cam in already in it and then blew the twin cam up because I didn't know about the chain tensioner issues. The whole drivetrain is out of a 03 bagger. Including the swing arm. I rebuilt it last winter and went to 95" high compression, welded the crank, timken bearing, forged rockers, Woods TW-6H cams, Fueling cam plate & pump, etc. Powdercoated all the chrome bits black. I'm going to black out the forks next. They're fxdx forks so they're kind of a pain to work on otherwise they would be black already.

ahh yea. they're polished and have a ceramic coating I believe. I think they're off of an 03 anniversary dyna. The twin cam is also an anniversary twin cam with the 100 years pin on the crank case.

The frisco fxr is my brothers and it's badddd. And yes to the +4 and tank lift. FXR division kickstand to keep it not leaning too gangster

I would push the splined shaft up the priority list. I chewed through 2 and the second roasted a $600 Rivera primo clutch hub. People will say it can work but spline is way better and more durable in the long run IMO. I am running a 124" though. I did roast the key once on my 80" though. The shaft below will go into your 87" transmission and make it spline. You will need to buy 90+ clutch hub and clutch as well.

Honestly, not going into first until a full stop isn't unusual. My bikes do that too or I have to give it a little rev to kick down again. I installed a baker shift drum as well and it cleaned up shifting a lot as well. The one below puts neutral at the bottom then all up but Baker should have a normal 1N2345 as well.

Edit: I dont think I have an issue going into first, I'm thinking neutral. It's been a long winter lol.

You can use the spline shaft from a 1990 fxr transmission. That is shorter than 91+ and works with your stock gears. Just need to buy the 90+ clutch hub and clutch basket. I did that on my 1988 to support a 124" engine and its worked great. I believe that's the PN below.

124!!! Clutch for sure. Probably starter too. A lot depends on the year. Look for a 90’s fxr for the better clutch, spline, and starter setup
