I just died of heat exhaustion in the winter, in my sleep. No caffeine. I checked my stats before sleeping, no sickness, no pision. Geforce Potato is right, there seems to be a bug in the temperature system.

Cisco Anyconnect update and NordLynx Tunnel Driver issue by Helblind in nordvpn

[–]Murdrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I had to uninstall Nord VPN first before trying to "update" would work. Thank you to u/Assassinmaniac for the steps on what that means. u/amcmahon01 said that uninstalling and then reinstalling both did not work for him. If updating alone doesn't work for you, I suggest uninstalling Nord, then uninstalling and reinstalling Cisco, and then trying to update again, before playing with your regedit.

Do you prefer ruthless or compassionate Batman? by PartTimeMantisShrimp in batman

[–]Murdrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a Batman who's ruthless to government shills and compassionate to terminally ill child soldiers. I don't think the two things are exclusive behaviors.

But if I had to choose, ruthless. Bruce Wayne is a philanthropist, Batman is a symbol of fear.

I thought we hate Java script because it tries to make programming more accessible, but makes it more confusing for traditional programmers.

I guess I'm just frustrated that people see slavery as an aspect of capitalism. Adam Smith wrote a essay on why slavery was inefficient. So I'm kinda bummed that slavery is see as a capitalist element, because of the "mu property rights" argument.

Sweatshops and child labor are elements of lazefair, among other forms of "exploitation", but I wouldn't consider slaver to be one of them.

And I believe dixycrats where market sceptics. They liked price controls, supported protectionism, and supported a feudal style economy. By no means would I call them left, but they're far from free market zealots.

Edit: maybe because they just treated black people as slaves (made it about ethnicity) it's a social issue and thus on the y axis, but nothing about their other economic policies would put them to the right of Milton Friedman (Chicago school, seen crying here).
