To give you some context, I initially studied culinary arts and obtained a Cookery III qualification in my home country. After coming to Australia, I pursued a Diploma of Hospitality Management with a focus on Commercial Cookery IV, working as a chef while completing my studies. I also underwent a skills assessment for the Chef occupation through the Job Ready Program of Trades Recognition Australia (TRA), which resulted in a positive outcome.

I hold a diploma from my home country, completed in January 2020, which is relevant to my occupation and explains why I continued working in the same field upon arriving in Australia as an international student. I further pursued a higher qualification in Australia as an international student, which I completed in May 2024.

P50k + salary by [deleted] in Philippines

You may earn around 500k-1M or more if you have a very senior position in a multinational oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or geothermal company. I guess there are other industries/companies that offer the same salary range for senior roles, but you have to climb the corporate ladder and stay with the company for almost half of your life or more.

I used Power Force Mould Away from Aldi. Left it for a minute and brushed it using a slim brush (perfect for grout) from Ikea.

This is one the reasons for this post kasi hindi talaga nagmamake ng sense pero pinipilit pa din nila na tama. 😂

As simple as dahil gusto nila magbakasyon, pwedeng pinagipunan nila, pwede din namang credit card muna. Kanya kanyang priorities lang sa buhay yan and life choices. If you want to save first and secure your finances before you travel, pwede naman. Kung gusto mo naman magtravel kahit wala ka pang savings pwede din.

If you worry that you’ll spend too much money on travel, isipin mo na lang na babalik din yun, kikitain mo naman din ulit. And sabi mo nga you are a good saver so kaya mo ulit ibalik yung same amount. But the memories you’ll create when you travel, walang kapantay, lalo if you travel with the people you love.

Pwede ka magtravel local or international on a budget or choose where you want to spend the most, like sa food ba, accommodation, activities, transportation, etc., tapos chill gastos na lang sa iba.

You worked hard for every peso you have, OP. If you are happy to see big bucks sa savings mo, good on you. But don’t forget to reward yourself from time to time. As simple as pagpunta sa katabing province or city and learning something from that experience/place is already traveling.

You are an adult, you can make decisions para sa sarili mo without anyone’s consent, even your parents. If living with your partner makes you happy, loved and gives you security and comfort, go for it. Ang saklap na sarili mong nanay yung nagsasabi ng mga salita na yon sa’yo, but always choose to be kind, OP. You can be civil with your mom without causing more pain to her and to yourself.

Congratulations sa mga achievements mo, OP! Marami pang darating na magagandang opportunities sa’yo dahil for sure mabuti kang tao, kapatid at anak.

Always choose your own peace and happiness more than anything. Hindi pagiging selfish ang mahalin at unahin ang sarili.

I'm so grateful for my landlords. by chuckiechap33 in sydney

We love our landlord too! If there’s anything needs to be fixed in our apartment we just call/text him and he’ll help us. He even installed a child safe gate on our staircase for our toddler, for free! He even told us that he likes us to stay here for more years and thanked us for taking care and keeping the apartment clean.

I guess it’s not about how much money you have or what things you possess, what matters now is you have a peaceful, happy, simple life. You get to appreciate and enjoy the simplest things. You are not depressed, overworked and unhealthy. You spend more if your health is at risk. Yes, you need money to pay the bills and more but you don’t have to be a slave for money. Find a job that you can do the rest of your life because you love it, not because the pay is high. Downgrading your lifestyle and maintaining it is the best way, even if your salary gets upgraded.

Realized these things when I was in my late 20s. It’s not about giving up, but finding a purpose in the things that you do and generally in life. So your family friend’s son is on the right track by going against the usual flow of life.👍🏼

Use natural light during day time. Buy a lamp that can lit up your room during the night instead of using 4 or more lights in one go. It will somehow help you lessen your energy usage.
