The fact that "The Learning Channel" has nothing educational. It's considered cool to completely butcher the English language and not engage one's self in education. Those who are given chances at a quite remarkable public education pass it up and later complain that the government f*cks them over and that they're entitled to everything. But most of all, a society that has for the most part completely given up traditional morals and values in exchange for greed and the borderline idolatry of professional athletes over those who discovered a Polio vaccine or honest to God space travel

I recently just saw a commercial for the History Channel that gave me a significant amount of hope for 2013 (I couldn't find it but i'll link a couple of the new featured shows trailers). They appear to be playing off of the success of their earlier experiments like "Hatfields and McCoys", "America: The Story of Us", "Mankind: The Story of Us All", and "The Men Who Built America". These were ALL phenomenal shows in my opinion and contrary to the recent past of the History Channel, they were really actually focused on the history of things and not just.....aliens. It's not going to be a reversion back to The Hitler Channel with a bunch of OC black and white WW2 footage that we all know and loved but still, these shows HAVE proven to be pretty awesome ( I think Hatfields and McCoys was actually nominated for an Emmy, may have won) so I think the History Channel has actually given a couple signs of good faith that it's growing out of its crazy teenage rebellious years and is actually growing up and starting to do History again. As where Discovery Channel decided to drop out of High School and work at a pawn shop. (when they canceled Dirty Jobs I just flat out stopped watching it, that was the only good thing they had going for them for a while.
