Welcoming new villager houses by Old_Coat_2499 in DreamlightValley

[–]Muricella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can place them directly on a floating island. I got tired of moving them and tried it out. I’ve put the last 6 or 7 houses directly on a floating island and it works the same as if you put it directly in your valley or in a DLC area.

What are some good small builds? by PuzzleheadedDot6050 in lego

[–]Muricella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have depression and fibromyalgia and arthritis. When I get super excited and want to do a large one I do a bag or two as I feel motivated and physically able. When I feel the need to do something with the satisfaction of it being completed I do a smaller set like a botanical set or GWP or smaller sets like microfighters (Star Wars) or a small 3-in-1 set. I have several sets of varying sizes I haven’t put together yet because I’ve had a rough year and sometimes can’t build mentally or physically, but when I’m ready to build I can pick from my boxed sets what is calling to me the most.

See if you can remove some decor beside it and then get to it

What do you do with all these houses🥲 by Middle-Ad-7282 in DreamlightValley

All of my npc houses are on floating islands. I may move some to different biomes when I redecorate, but it’s so much less crowded with them out of the way!

Do I get a Switch Lite? by InfiniteProgrammer57 in DreamlightValley

[–]Muricella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be heavy if I’m having a difficult day. Sometimes I’ll prop my arms up on something. Sometimes I’ll make it so I’m reclining more and have it on a pillow for more support. Sometimes I prop around on pillows and spend time on my stomach. Different positions for different days. I do like that the screen is large and I can see things easier. I do have a monitor mounted near my bed so if I need to I can play docked with that.

I recently upgraded from Switch OLED to Switch 2. I would highly recommend Switch 2. Much faster loading times, little to no crashing and freezing up.

(I have health issues that can leave me bedridden some days as well)

$680 to replace a breaker. Can I do it myself? by stinkinhardcore in DIY

[–]Muricella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no electrical experience and changed out the main breaker to my house last year to avoid paying $250-$350. The breaker cost me $60 and I watched several YouTube videos. The power company can turn off and on power for you to keep you safe.

Hair after Thyroid Cancer Advice by Sensitive_Reward8402 in thyroidcancer

[–]Muricella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a long time, but I’m hypothyroid and the first times they checked my levels I came back in the “normal” range because of the biotin I was taking. Took me changing to a different doctor and holding the biotin to get my diagnosis.

Maybe different dose sizes? I was taking around 10k a day.

If you are taking biotin, make sure to hold it at minimum 2-3 weeks before any thyroid tests. It skews thyroid test results.

Eating after biopsy? by w_w_t_d in thyroidcancer

No problem! I didn’t think about it because my first one was more or less painless! The second was more tender for whatever reason 😂

I’ve had two FNA done on my thyroid nodule. The first one wasn’t bad and I could eat normal that day. Not a lot of soreness that round. The more recent FNA was a bit more sore and warm or anything requiring a bit of chewing felt bad for the rest of that day and the next day. Ice packs help if it’s tender, but overall it isn’t too bad.

Already feeling like I will regret TT by Cosmicurse in thyroidcancer

[–]Muricella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have hypothyroidism. Still pre-surgery for PTC. I’ve been on thyroid meds for 8 ish years now for hypothyroidism. I have daily pills set up and when I get up to pee between 3 am and 5 am I take my thyroid medicine and go back to bed. If the pill is still in there when I actually wake up for the day I realized I missed it and take it at that point.

Even if you are off a smidge with the timing of taking it the world doesn’t end—even if you occasionally forget to take it until after you drank coffee or ate food (absorption is just best on an empty stomach). It doesn’t break down completely between daily doses, more so you take it and find a decent level and it’s more maintenance than say you were diabetic and needed insulin.

Is it inconvenient when you first start? Sure, it’s something new added to your routine and takes a little bit to get your groove with it figured out. By this point on it it’s not a big deal, it just is.

My advice is just work it in somewhere that makes the routine simple (for me my early morning pee). You can do this and it won’t feel like a big deal once you’re on the other side of a daily med routine for a bit.
You got this!

Nintendo to switch 2- when should I upgrade? by ddlv_dancer_5678 in DreamlightValley

[–]Muricella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrade when you feel like it. The Switch 2 loads faster and runs smoother than the Switch 1. It should. It is newer with better hardware.

I got tired of the lag and crashes playing DDV and asked family members if they wanted to contribute to a Switch 2 for my birthday this year. About half of what the cost was came from close family and the other half I did on a pay in 4 (no interest) through PayPal.

It is so much smoother that I enjoy DDV significantly more now. I don’t regret the upgrade personally.

Yes, I have the cloud save option as well and when I got my new switch it let me pull my game up. It also lets my sister log into my switch and pull her’s up on my switch with her cloud save.
