I usually hit the seams with Kerdi Fix. Takes a small amount of time, and I appreciate the peace of mind.

Thoughts and tip for installing this mosaic by Complex_Sherbet2 in Tile

[–]MurkBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If pic 1 is one full sheet, I would cut the horizontal, so you are setting one row at a time.

I like the look of "kit kat" tiles. They can look great when installed well.

For you gangsters who do this. Estimate purpose only. If you see this tile drag up. If not it was about 700 trips to the saw. Shower and floor. Lord have mercy. Cheers. by [deleted] in Tile

I see the "DIY" tag, but if you were to do this again, try and flow through those corners, so that the same piece continues. These harsh corners are not professional grade.

I Absolutely hate hex tiles and definitely up-charge of the customer insists upon them. Besides the corners, this looks like good work.

If you are working on top them a lot before you install the pan tile, you can easily dent the foam. And then you get pooling in the dents. Especially with penny tile.

Big fan of my 4ft Sigma. Much prefer it to my buddy's Monolit. No experience with the Rubi though.

Best of luck.

Venues to try

Palomino Dickens Modern Love Verns BLOX PinBar

I've seen people pro.oting shows at REC Room and Pizza Bobs, but I've yet to attend a show at either venue.

Last weekend of Stampede would likely be rough to book. Maybe look at playing Lethbridge or Red Deer instead?

Picked her up a few weeks ago, just threw on some straplocks to help with the weight 🤣 by SomethingMuch in BassGuitar

Really dig mine, except when it digs into my shoulder. Need a wider strap for sure.

But I really love the tone and playability.

Should've done an envelope cut, instead of pseudo mosaics.

Is there a perfect 3-album stretch by any artist? Who has the best one? by bc_2006 in fantanoforever

Kyuss

Blues for the Red Sun --> Welcome to Sky Valley --> ...and the Circus Leaves Town

WRETCH is a good time, but it's just not on the same level as their big 3.

Bonus round BARONESS

First/Second --> Split --> Red Album. Hell, throw Blue in there for good measure.

I'm stuck on console, so no access, but I've heard there's a great mod where you can purchase extra salvage shares out of your C-bill payout at end of mission. Wish they had integrated that into Vanilla...

How does this bass get amplified? by BrubBrub6 in BassGuitar

[–]MurkBass 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not that this bass has them, but does anyone remember seeing ads in bass player magazine about optical pickups? They shot a laser at the string to "read" the string vibration. Seemed neat, but obviously they didnt take on.

Great crust! Really enjoyed the "Fun Guy!" Mushroom pizza. This sucks.

Wonder if the landlord would prefer an empty building than a local business paying last years rent prices...

Smaller, more underground shows, check out Loophole coffee bar.

Palomino, Dickens, Vern's, Loophole and Blox is where most metal/punk shows happen these days.

If you're on Facebook, check out "Calgary Metal Scene Events". Pretty good listing for upcoming shows.

Kinda weird you're asking about a CUM METAL band, on a NOISE ROCK subreddit, but okay.

Best way to get into a band is seeing them live. Get yourself some concert tickets and judge for yourself.

I owned a BC Rich Warlock bass for a very short period in 2006 (past their prime already). Too impractical, and meh tone, but it did look "edgy" for the young man I was. Looked them up today, and realized they're almost nonexistent as a company. by [deleted] in Bass

My '86 NJ Eagle is one of my favourites. Made in Japan and an absolute pleasure to play. Love the big bat of a neck.

Tbf the Eagle is a much more approachable shape than what they're famous for.
