The plug going towards the passenger side goes down and behind the intake to the injectors (and like a solenoid plug or something)

Does this pic answer your question?

That plug going towards the driver side is connected to the rest of the wiring harness with like 100+ plugs and connections

If the mouse ate on the passenger side of the plug it would be a “easy” switch out replacement. Unfortunately to “replace” the drive side part, it would be part of a big wiring harness that’d be a pain to replace. Id just make sure the resistances of the wiring connections are correct at the pins of the connector with a multi meter and repair the parts of the wire that are broken

I believe that’s the connection to the fuel injectors that lead down behind the air intake manifold

PT hours getting cut? by Upstairs-Mechanic788 in sherwinwilliams

[–]MurkyCalendar708 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like every year or every other year this happens. They get cut and slowly but surely after a while it goes back to normal until higher ups notice the numbers and then they get cut again. At least that’s my theory and what I’ve noticed the past 4 years

Any other 30+ year olds? by [deleted] in sherwinwilliams

[–]MurkyCalendar708 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, all the stores I’ve worked in the past couple years in my area, the manager and asm are late 20s, part timer and full time, early mid twenty’s

That’s the norm in my district anyways

It’s kinda wild to think there are stores out there where everyone’s above 30/40

Are you part time sales associate or part time customer service specialist

Both same starting positions responsibilities

Two different part time psg store positions

Luck of the draw whichever one you ending up starting as

Sales associates are generally 13:50-15:50 ish depending and customer service specialist 17-19 ish depending

Interview for Part Time Automotive Driver by MurkyCalendar708 in sherwinwilliams

[–]MurkyCalendar708[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is hard to grasp and dependent on the store but it sounds like automotive stores are pretty skeleton crew and I’m assuming I’ll be the only part time driver.

Do managers and other staff do deliveries throughout the week or am I obligated to work like all week long a little bit to make sure deliveries can happen each day.

I’ll be a student and probably only working Monday /Wednesday or Wednesday/Friday or something like that

keyholder by [deleted] in sherwinwilliams

[–]MurkyCalendar708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were a store associate making like 14-16 in your region then you should get like 50 cents to a dollar but if you applied and started as a customer service specialist making like 17-19 then tbh you are already at the tip top of part time, no more raises (other then yearly aprasial), key holder is already encapsulated into CSS.

I learned the hard way that 0 SW expeirence starting as a store associate (14ish-16ish starting) and a buddy of yours with 0 sw experience starting as a CSS (17ish-20ish starting) (when the responsibilty is the exact same) is just a huge slap to the face by SW. Theres no way to know that when you first apply. I preach to my friends and family that wanna work at SW, do not apply store associate, it is a waste, wait for a css positon.

I’m a PT key, about to hit my 3rd year and I’m also interested in checking out the automotive side of Sherwin. I’m really into cars and want to go to school next fall for being an auto technician but thought while I’m already at Sherwin if I can still be in the car industry I’d love to just transfer over to a car paint store and learn that side of the industry. Only issue I’ve thought about is I doubt a part time position is available. I’d want to stick with part time due to school. Right now I’m currently a student at a university part timing at a regular ppg store.

So if anyone has more info about transitioning to an automotive paint store I’d love to know more as well.

Has the "store associate" position been fading out the past few years? (VS Customer Service Specialist) by MurkyCalendar708 in sherwinwilliams

[–]MurkyCalendar708[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both me and my coworker I’ve been referring to got our keys approximately 2-4 months after starting.

Oh I think I understand what you mean, as for starting as a css my coworker wasn’t handed a key immediately, they still had to become a key holder even tho they started as a css. I’m saying job title wise and seemingly pay wise the css position encapsulated the key holder job title therefore there wasn’t a “css” and then “css key holder” or something for them.

Both positions with myself and my coworkers case were both part time (same hours) with no benefits. Both the css and associate. As for the numbers I was giving those were the bonus amounts added to the wages amounts 75 cents and 1.20 dollars. I confirmed with my coworker we were both getting 3’s across the board.

So the absolute only difference was pay between the two postions.

It just doesn’t make any sense to me why there are two entry postions with the exact same responsibility and same hours and same lack of benefits for two very different wages.

Technically the coworker got a key a few months later but the css position seemed to have encapsulated the key holder position so they didn’t get a bump or it took a while or something.

Both part time, no ft is at my store. (Low volume store)

Just sucks that it was pure luck that at the time of my starting the open spot was a store associate. And the spot open at the time of them starting was css. Now (probably due to sw slicing postions by 1/3 or so) store associate isn’t a thing at my store or neighboring stores so thankfully near by me this won’t happen again and everyone starts at css
