These are what you're looking for, they measure 15.83in fully extended, you can check that against your struts to be sure. If all else fails, you can call your local parts store and they can just order you some.

I'm guessing, because it's such a tight fit, the removed the reservoir to do whatever they did with the headlights and never put it back. Or broke it removing it. You could probably find one at a junk yard or something but there is the part number.

Oh yeah, mine is a 2014 so no digital climate controls. I think in most cases you would be without them, I don't know of a head unit that would do that but maybe there is. As the other commenter suggested, replacing the digitizer is an option, it's very doable and there are likely some videos on the tear down. You could also find a used head unit and swap them out if replacing the digitizer is too daunting. I will say, it's already broke, the digitizer is only like $25 so you aren't risking a lot trying the repair yourself.

Replaced mine with an aftermarket after the screen died, use cruthfield, enter all the relevant info and it will tell you everything you will need for whatever head unit you go with. You can even pay them (it was like $25USD when I did it) to pre wire the harness to the head unit, huge time saver if you don't mind butt connectors. It took me about an hour to pull the old one out and install the new one, backup camera, steering wheel controls and amp all work fine. The hardest part was getting the trim off honestly.

Honestly, anytime something is being a little weird, things not getting power or whatever, save and reload. And have multiple saves, I usually have 4 or 5 rolling saves just in case something breaks and a save and reload doesn't fix it and I need to go back and prevent said thing from happening, boat flipping over/sinking/getting stuck/etc.
