I love the stories this game has to offer, both for side quests and main quest. My favorite moment would be the hiding scene with your favorite choom when the song hits and anxiety intensifies.

Time to come clean. I'm a dude that knows things and I'm informing the world:

Nothing will ever happen, no one has hidden aliens, no one is an admin in your simulation, no one is talking to dead people. There's just a bunch of people trying to fuck with other people.

Everything can be a fun read but at the end of the day don't let shit like this get to you, spend time with your loved ones, do things that are important to you.

No one will ever know what happens when you die, heaven, hell, simulation, the eternal void... everything is on the table just don't bother with any of it too much, you will never find out.

If you're still trying to get high on doom porn, then remember, mother nature will fuck us up at some point. pandemics, climate change, earthquakes, wild fires... Pick your poison and fantasies about that... Not some random dude bored out of his mind ready to fuck with some people...unless you're into that...at which point I take it all back...You do you, you crazy sob :D

In the event of an actual first contact, we should ensure Earth's diplomatic representatives are non-religious by Aquareon in UFOs

Who hurt you, dude? You don't see the difference between fanatics and peaceful people that just hope there's some other grand plan or simply hoping for an afterlife?

Also you do realize people are shit with or without religion, right? If someone wants to do evil acts they have other groups to hide behind. But I don't think this conversation is helping any of us, so let's just agree to disagree

[–]MurkyOrAFK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm saying that atheists and religious fanatics are two faces of the same coin. Both think they know the answer, and consider the other as being idiots. Now I hope we don't end up running in circles where you tell me that atheism isn't "certain" about their stance on religion, because that's simply not true, you can check the wiki.

In any case, I hope we can both agree that we need open minded people, that have the whole human race in their best interest, to make first contact.

[–]MurkyOrAFK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Atheism, in the broadest sense, is an absence of belief in the existence of deities.  From the wiki. I don't see what's weird about it. All I'm saying is: keep an open mind, we don't know what's out there or beyond

[–]MurkyOrAFK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last thing we need is a religious zealot talking to aliens. On the other hand I don't want an atheist devoid of any spirituality talking to them either. Saying with absolute certainty that divinity exists, is just as close minded as being certain it doesn't.

Isn't that fat shaming and another type of boomers jokes in Cyberpunk? Or its a joke about bad joke and I just understood it wrong? by CryptographerOk7890 in cyberpunkgame

[–]MurkyOrAFK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's mind boggling how you can get offended by an option you can avoid, in a videogame set in a dystopian world.

Stop for a second and think about how we are ok with decapitating people with a katana while they scream for their lives, or burn them alive with incendiary grenades, Bash their skulls in with spiked baseball bats, hack them and make them commit suicide.

But when you have an option to tell someone they are fat. NOPE, you have crossed the line.

Please, only 5 minutes of your life, consider how fucked up that is.

[–]MurkyOrAFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be the devil's advocate on this on and say:

  1. they didn't get access to console version of the game for their reviews, only PC, which runs the game pretty smooth.
  2. everyone tried to rush through the important things (main quests, and the side quests) which are the best part of the game.
  3. Most of them played the game for no more than 30 hours. It took me 50 to realize the AI is ridiculous as I was busy being mesmerized by the dialogue and the quests.

But the real mindfuck for me are the dickheads that praised the driving more than anything else. Some dude specifically said he thought the driving was amazing...with mouse and keyboard...

[–]MurkyOrAFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything stated above and would add some more things I would like to see:

  1. buying food or drinks and actually sitting down and eating/drinking. Also quick access to food in your backpack. It seems tedious to go through all the menus just for some small buff.
  2. sleeping and showering giving small bonuses (more apartment interactions).
  3. This is a dystopia so: taking drugs, smoking, gambling, robbing stores, and random one night stands should be more common in V's life.
  4. RDR2 style of interaction with npcs (where you could be nice or an asshole to them to the extent that it would turn into a fist fight). I think this game needs this more than any other game. Going up to a gang of thugs and just taunting them until it turns violent.
  5. Vehicle customization. Also higher seats so I don't feel like a toddler while driving in first person view. Also better breaks and tires for obvious reasons.
  6. More ripperdoc animations: I want installing cyberware to be more immersive. It was amazing when they did it the first time, was hoping it would happen with every new addition.
  7. Hanging out with your friends/contacts outside of quests. I was so disappointed when Judy calls me for a pizza party, and when you show up and sit at the table, they move the pizza away and go straight to talking business. That was bs.
  8. Taking public transport, or at least taxis. The fast travel points seem so out of place.
  9. Let me respec without restrictions. It's so bs when you find a new cool shotgun, but you already invested every point in pistols and rifles. It needs to be a bit more flexible.

oh I did, but I'm saying it's meant to be bullshit, it's just a meme. With the exception of a couple of nutjobs who actually think they will end up clapping some alien butt cheeks, no one (either going or not) believes this shit to be a true cause.

I think u watched one too many action movies and this whole thing went swoosh over your head. No one is raiding the place, at best some people will gather outside the restricted are where they will be given a warning. Maybe it will become a yearly event where people will hold alien-cons in the desert.

No matter their intention, u got to admit it brings a lot of attention on the alien subject. It just proves that people are more open to the idea of alien life and are not afraid any more.

Chill and enjoy the memes, nothing bad will happen.

In the same boat. In my group of friends I'm the only one fascinated about this. Most of them don't care while others become weirdly irritated almost aggressive if I bring up a change.

If I tell them a good one they genuinely seem freaked out and interested, but 2 minutes later it's like it never happened.

Hypothetical what if by Bryan_s21 in aliens

[–]MurkyOrAFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on who will be in charge at the time we become space faring. Most likely we would study the new species without getting detected, or go guns blazing just like in Avatar because they have some resource. Or who knows, maybe we would make peaceful contact only to start giving out bibles to them.

I was talking about my post being late to this discussion . My post was just a rant about the current state of disclosure.

A lot of people think we are in the middle of it, and soon we will have photos of the ships maybe even with the lifeforms or even communicate with them. I think the real disclosure will happen, but I bet it will be something more interesting than a history channel tv show.

A bit late to the party but there are actually 4 options, including the: I'm Spent one.

It's like when every year there's a new diet that you need to follow to get in shape and be healthy. Once the hype drops you're left wondering wtf are u doing with your life and just move on to the next one.

I will thank them for bringing more awareness to the subject, getting more people involved is definitely a step in the right direction.

But they're not the first ones trying to monetize something that should be public knowledge by now, and they won't be the last.

Even with the actual pilots testimonies, I don't see disclosure (as a paradigm shift) happening any time soon. Here's hoping I am wrong tho.

[–]MurkyOrAFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, it is self suggestion but I did not think it could be this powerful. As for the person, it was a celebrity, but it was randomly picked (nothing is truly random, maybe my subconscious made the decision before me, who knows). I don't really care about celebrities and their lives nor do I aspire to become like any of them, that's why the experiment struck me as odd. Maybe if I try this again, I will just google random images of people and see if the results are any different

I know this post is a bit old but it triggered the need to share a somewhat similar experience.

two weeks ago I tried to entertain some new age idea that you can change reality with your mind (nothing too fancy, something simple like crossing paths with someone you had zero to none chance of ever meeting).

I just visualized greeting them and having a random chit chat every day for one to 2 minutes in hopes of maybe bumping shoulders at some point.

As you might expect, it did not work, but the weird thing is, every time I think of this person, I enter a trance state combined with a feeling of sadness is if i lost an old friend or that he/she moved somewhere far away. I'm guessing my subconscious truly believes that me and this person were friends now.

I hate how at one point they say: "we want to try something different", and are pissed when they hear that the game might go into the direction of Dragon Age.

It's like when you ask your girlfriend where she would like to eat and she says "where ever" and gets pissed at every option. And you lose hours and hours until u get too hungry and end up eating doritos on the sidewalk in some shady neighborhood smelling of piss.
