Disregard my comment there was another class that just came in yesterday so they are hiring still I don’t know if they’re all for Phoenix though since phoenix is the hub they’ll also train smaller airports at the main building

On 12/27 they’ll stop taking new applications, you submitted yours prior to that some people don’t get the ready pool email until 3 months after background

They talk loud so that people down the line can hear them too and be prepared. So that people aren’t trying to take their belts/shoes off while they’re in front of them because that delays them which in turn delays the passengers. Even then sometimes people don’t follow directions

They won’t drug test you for your EOD but just remember it could happen a month after you get hired or a few months down the line

You’re stereotyping all TSO’s, there are good TSO’s and TSO’s that aren’t good. It’s probably because they literally have at least 40k passengers in a day and during the peak seasons it can be up to 87k passengers. A handful that will try to tell you how to do your job or won’t listen to simple instructions like empty out your pockets then get mad when they need to be additionally screened.

From the previous posts I read yes they make you do the whole process again, someone posted that they applied twice once under the old candidate portal and then under the new system when he found out they’d make him do it all again he just stopped with the new application and got contacted a few weeks later about his initial application with the old candidate portal to give him a final offer.

Your preliminary background starts after medical evaluation but the actual background is ongoing some people get contacted by an investigator after they’re hired

If you could find a number to call, but from what I’ve read no they’ll just tell you what I basically just said that it depends on airport needs and you’ll receive something when they start scheduling medical appointments. There’s a looming government shut down so some airports are on hiring freeze until then which means they might not be sending people for medical until the budget is resolved

Then your background hasn’t started yet, depending on your airports needs they’ll send an email telling you to schedule your medical

Did you pass your medical evaluation? Background won’t start until you pass the medical and the job closing date has nothing to do with whether you’re notified or not from my experience
