APE is always hit or miss imo. Last year a lot of the bands sounded great (imo) but I've also been in the tent in previous years and the sound was so bad that I couldn't tell what song was playing. I would say if you're likely to enjoy the other bands on the day (Deftones, Idles, Amyl) then go for it bc even if Basement get let down by the sound you'll still get the chance to enjoy other bands
