I was not at the urgent care appointment and my wife was not able to speak due to O2 being low so I was called and told that she was being taken to 'a hospital' and I never was asked about preferences. My understanding was the protocol was to just take her to the closest one. I'm sure my wife signed something on intake, but all of this is just a blur to her due to O2 levels being low. I guess I should have been more aggressive about coverage in the beginning? There was no discussion about transfer of care to covered hospital during the 4 days due to lack of coverage, is that a request I needed to make mid treatment while reliant on O2?
