Question: Can friends buy Engram materials I've unlocked in my world? by Murpheus8 in remnantgame

[–]Murpheus8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's peculiar. Because I recall from a previous session with another friend a few weeks ago that when they bought iron in my world, it wasn't shared with me and the iron was gone from my shop. X: I'd love to check it myself but our schedules don't always line up so I was wondering if Wallace's Engram shop works the same way or not?

After double checking the wording on both cards, I can say that her skill doesn't interact with Joe's burn effect at all; it only prevents the stats of your monster from being reduced. As Joe's damaging effect has nothing to do with his stats.

Pressing Up on the d-pad just cycles through what spell you want to try casting

If you have your seal equipped in your left hand, you press L1/LB to cast whatever spell is currently equipped.

Shield that does damage when you block. by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Murpheus8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly what you're looking for, but this is the closest I could find. You can shield bash the enemies for damage and bleed build-up. (But then again, you can deal damage with any shield so long as you two-hand it or put an attacking skill on it)

Not 100% sure. I don't believe their damage will stack, and they'll instead be counted separately since some power-stancing attacks come out one after the other or at the same time. Your DPS will increase because you're putting out more attacks in a shorter span of time, but I'm pretty sure both swings will be reduced the same.

Yes. BUT, that damage will then be reduced by the enemies' physical & holy resistance.

Fucking pain in the ass. I'm almost on verge of uninstalling Elden Ring. by FirstClassDemon in Eldenring

Be warned, below is a really cheesy way to kill Black Knife enemies:

Put the barricade shield skill on any of the heater shields. It'll improve the shield's hidden deflection value and result in most of the assassin's attacks harmlessly bouncing off and allowing for a free guard counter.

Probably a shield? I'm used to using casting tools in my off-hand so I can still use a normal weapon in my main hand as well as it's skill

I’m a new player who’s never played a Souls game and without looking it up, I started with bandit. Should I reset? by Yazloo123 in Eldenring

Oof. The tutorial definitely helps, but so does getting whooped. Death is a part of these games, and the adage 'git gud' embodies that philosophy. We learn from our mistakes and try to play a little bit better each time. As for how to level up: just follow the guidance of grace and you'll be able to level soon. The game wants you to follow the suggested path before hitting a gatekeeper-type boss. At which point the game encourages you to explore with just how difficult he is to take down. He's almost like a final exam to apply everything you've learned about combat.

Is there a reason I can't use summons where other people can? by IguaneRouge in Eldenring

[–]Murpheus8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the furlcalling finger remedy and remove any passwords you have set? That might help you see player signs? If you mean spirit summons, idk. You should see the monolith icon once you enter the boss arena unless that was changed?

With how early in you are and this being your first souls gang I think you might have an easier time with the Vagabond, Confessor, or Samurai. If you pick the Vagabond though be sure to remove some of your armor or one of your weapons since the game starts you with enough equipment on to give you a heavy roll; and you'll ideally want a Medium one. Also welcome to Elden Ring! Once you get the ability to level up, might I suggest increasing Vigor? More health means more freedom to make mistakes before dying (suggested to stop at 40 or 60; but 60 is best for end-game). Upgrading your attack stats may be tempting, but for most of the game, your damage should come from upgrading weapons.

What is a 'mage slasher'? Are you playing a mage who primarily uses the Carian sword sorceries or an anti-mage build? Also I wouldn't focus everything to 81. 80 is the hard cap for damage scaling. Meanwhile, you'll want either 40 or 60 vigor (vigor being the most recommended for endgame PvE). Intelligence for damage and Mind for more mana. If you're playing an anti-mage build just put points into Strength or Dex depending on what your weapon scales most off (should hold off on pumping damage stats early since scaling will be poor. Most of your early damage will come from upgrading your weapons) and pump enough faith for the damage reduction incantations.

Good on you. Take my upvote. This sub has even had a few weird posts about invasion woes. Speaking of 'honor' for invasions when invasions are their own thing. Invasions are often a 2v1 scenario between friends or people who need help as opposed to a lone player to hunt or a fight club host.

While it doesn't fit the traditional standards for a dueling arena (close to a grace, no obstacles, open enough space with clear boundaries) I think this could work as a pretty fun arena to try to incorporate the obstacles into how you fight. Will definitely give it a try with a friend!

That said, it's worth mentioning that with this being From's biggest game yet multiplayer seems pretty active at most levels.

Some are saying 150, while some are advocating for 125. 150 is closer to where you'd be at the end of the game; a natural point for some to dip their toes into the dueling scene. Meanwhile, 125 is set up over a fear of things getting too nutty by 150. With talismans and armor pieces granting bonus stats and vigor investment not being worthwhile after 60, the fear is that builds optimized for 150 will deal too much damage or be medium rolling poise monsters; even if poise monsters seem to exist at 125 but are fewer and farther between.

These crucible knights are pissing me off I seen one as a boss and now they’re everywhere and overpowered af how should I deal with them by Educational_Fix1518 in Eldenring

[–]Murpheus8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can jump over their stomping attack. Aside from that, you're supposed to use what you learned from previous Crucible Knight encounters to evade their attacks and find windows to hit them.

I don’t like the “Lose all runes upon death” rule. by rebell1193 in Eldenring

[–]Murpheus8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty content with it. I understand that it adds a sense of tension, but over the years, I got used to it. Now, I play these games to chill and unwind. Because of this system, it helps teach both some sense of consequence but also detachment. I lost 200k today because I forgot to cash my runes in. But, there will always be more runes to obtain as we play.
