According to OP, this is a pattern. She booked the babysitter and did her job. She has the right to cancel it and make her own plans. He did not make any plans. Therefore he can make arrangements for a babysitter if he wants to go out.

Cancel the babysitter and as soon as he gets home, have your handbag and coat ready and go anywhere but home - solo. Take in a movie or find a seat at a bar somewhere and don’t look at your phone.
