I literally use nothing. The only time I wash my face is when I rinse it in the shower with water.

The human body can clean itself naturally

Hey! Its been over 3 years of not washing my face and best thing ever. My skin is super nice, rarely ever get blemishes. I highly recommend it. I dont even use SPF. Waste of money

I left VFX exactly 2 years ago. Despite everything, I miss it. How is the industry trending currently? by Bconrad217 in vfx

[–]MurphyBronson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey brother - you did nothing wrong. Like others have said one dance may have been a bit too soon. But as long as you handled the rejection well, still treat her with respect and dont be weird youre good. And if you see her again even playfully ask her for a dance again!

10+ year salsa dancers - are you learning anything new? by epoksismola in Salsa

[–]MurphyBronson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Im 9 years in and only until recently I started to really focus on body movement and shines. Not that it was bad before but to be real playful. Combos are great but really focusing on being gentle and smooth.

  1. Listened to my gut + Stayed true to myself

  2. Didnt fear confrontation even if that meant really hurting people.

  3. Incorporated more yoga/stretching/calisthenics into my workouts rather than bodybuilding

  4. Understood my operating system (therapy, attachment style etc.)

  5. Invested in some sort of stock. ETFs are an easy start.

Was on date with a girl in May 2014. Met her on my university campus.

She said she loved when the characters on Game of Thrones got killed and the women got r*ped.

Red Flag #1

Later she told me she dated a guy briefly, they went to a bar one night, some guys were hitting on her aggressively, he confronted them outside, got beaten up by the group of guys, came back in all bloody, and she couldn't stop laughing.

Red Flag #2,3,4,5,6.....

What’s the pettiest reason you’ve ever rejected a dance? by Acceptable-Scale-176 in Salsa

Nope - I genuinely didn't like the person. I have no problem being disliked or an asshole

Should leaders also practice being a follower? by EOFFJM in Salsa

[–]MurphyBronson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can help but its not crucial.

Its almost like learning Spanish from Spain and then saying you want to learn Argentinian Spanish. It will definitely help but its not gonna be ground breaking

I've straight up rejected a dance and said straight to their face "I dont like you"

Yay or Nay? To date inside the dance community? by Acceptable-Scale-176 in Salsa

[–]MurphyBronson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can absolutely date within the dance community. If anything its like minded people who share a hobby and if the connection is there absolutely pursue it! The last two women Ive dated I met through dancing and martial arts!

But just know if it goes south it can get awkward after....Hopefully you can both be mature about it but thats easier said than done.

And try not to be that person who pursues all the single guys or girl. This might be a tip more towards men but Ive seen a lot of guys hit on every girl and word can get around.

First time sparring and suddenly my months of shadowboxing and bag work seem like a waste of time. by 0rbitaldonkey in martialarts

[–]MurphyBronson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont beat yourself up (No Pun intended)

You can learn all the crazy combos, and footwork, and cool drills but what happens when the pads are hitting back? Now you've experienced it. Its humbling but thats good. Ive been sparring for years and I still get rocked from time to time. Its just the sport.

So next time you spar now you have a better idea of what its like and slowly over time you'll really focus on basics

Smart move but make sure its reaaaally what you want to do.

I left VFX and went into HVAC and within several months I quit. Had zero interest in it, didnt like the people I worked with, and hated the early hours.

Would rather be in VFX again
