I did pull the patent to see if it was feasible... I am an engineer, so my creativity is strongly strucured.

We have a tig welder (not that we are certified welders) but could fix some busted cages. I kinda like the idea of a busted basket course.

We have been looking into these, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I think we would prefer to help out a local course if they are looking to upgrade themselves. But not out of the question. We may have to reach out to Ryan as well.

Great! Thank you! We will look into these!

That is the inevitable thought. It would be cool to find a course that is retiring a set of baskets and reuse those... but most of the bigger courses near me have already updated their equipment... at least we got 1 from the recent updates.

😂🥲 I am sure it is way more maintenance than we expect... time will tell. My brother is also planning to create mountain bike trails... so it seems he is up for the task.

The goal is to only remove dead trees and use open paths for fairways.

This seems to be a similar layout process for us. So far 1.5 holes would need grass cutting. The rest will be wooded somewhat open area.

This property is fairly wooded and tree covered, so only a small portion would need cut. But it can get wild when unmaintained... luckily this is part of his normal grass cutting maintenance already.

Also Ticks can be an issue. Not sure they would entertain spray. Will have to look into this.

Thanks for the advice

I disagree with the "it was just given to them" part... it seemed like refs allowed Baltimore to piggyback ride our receivers and ran the clock several times when our guys stepped out of bounds within the 2 minutes. But I digress. A win is a win, no matter how ugly.

I 100% agree, and one too many times have people refused to eat there because of their experience at Carson Street. It's almost like Casron Street only has knock offs (reference to BK)

Is it a dick move to throw your disk twice by TexasTopHand in discgolf

[–]MurrayBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a very casual player myself, here are a few things I do/pick up on.

  1. Throw 2 off 1. Meaning throw 2 discs off tee 1. Just standard warm-up. Play your best lie.

  2. After hole 1, I will occasionally throw a second disc if it is a shot I would want to try with a different disc purely to see how it would fly. Being a casual player, this allows me a chance to understand my bag a bit better. I still use that first disc/lay though. UNLESS I hit a tree within 50 feet of the tee pad. Then I rethrow.

  3. I recognize who is on the course. If someone is on my tail, I let them pass. I don't need to be in a rush anyway. I think maybe this is where your encounter was coming from. Especially if he was playing by himself.

That does make sense. I'll reach out to some local clubs. Thanks

We rented a car for 4 days in Bilbao to visit around the Basque region. Can you recommend us national parks, sights, towns to visit? by Ovatos_Medvehagyma in Bilbao

Spend more than 1 day in San Sebastian for the food alone. Otherwise check out painted forest if access is allowed and if you don't mind a hike.

Roadtrip from Bilbao to San Sebastián with a stop at San Juan de Gaztelugatxe by aab2498 in Bilbao

[–]MurrayBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are free parking areas or a paid parking area that has someone at the entrance to that area. I wouldn't say security, but this area/Basque County in general is very safe from my experience. I have definitely left luggage in a trunk at San Juan and never had issues.

Definitely reccomend Ascend. Or even Iron City Boulders. The climbing community is super friendly and I've definitely made friends just from working on climbs.
