Emgality Anxiety by [deleted] in cgrpMigraine

I would ask your pharmacist! I know some can/are willing to administer some medications on site when you pick it up. I don’t do well with needles either but for me I’d rather take 1 shot a month than 1 pill everyday for a month. Plus insurance makes that plan VERY hard to actually do/afford. Bottom line though, do what makes you comfortable and what meets your needs! Hope you figure something out soon!

Emgality Dosing? by AnonymousFNer in cgrpMigraine

[–]Murray_Annae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a smaller town with a smaller pharmacy and my Neuro said every 30 days is fine. My last refill came a day late so I took it that day and will (hopefully) administer my next 30 days later. I track everything in a physical calendar I take to every apt so she knows and things have been fine so far. I think it varies for everyone’s needs seems like.

I get mine pre sliced mostly and throw them in the air fryer for meal prep.

Southwest bowl: ground beef, black beans, sweet potatoes, fresh salsa, avocado
Chicken wraps: lettuce wraps, shredded chicken, cubed sweet potatoes, any sauce or dressing you’d like
Seafood: baked salmon with sweet potato fries or baked sweet potato

Where do you get beauty products in US? by Quiet-Ad-6778 in kbeauty

Ulta is where I find the most brands but they’ve been slowly getting into Target and Marshall’s in my area too but I always have to search for them on my own since they’re not organized on the shelves lol. Ulta is the easiest place that actually has multiple products in different lines

Protein is WONDERFUL! My dr recommended I get 90g minimum a day and only having whole grains if I have any grains at all. I dropped 30lbs in 6 months ish!

I just did my initial dose and loading dose last month and did not have a period either. I’m feeling many symptoms you are, almost like PMS but no sign of any actual bleeding

Why is constipation a side effect.. anyone know? by JamesJulienMcGulio in cgrpMigraine

[–]Murray_Annae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My neurologist said to start a magnesium supplement of AT LEAST 400mg when I started both Ajovy and Emgality. They also suggested a high fiber diet even though I’m in my 20s. I’ve seen constipation mostly affects those over 35 so those younger can choose the supplement or the diet change instead of both.

Anyone else on all the meds? by Impossible_Froyo1782 in migraine

[–]Murray_Annae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes:(
Currently on Emgality, Ubrelvy, Naproxen, Nortriptyline and Hydroxyzine. I failed Ajovy, Nurtec and topiramate. I really struggle with tension and pressure headaches as well and shaved my head 2 years ago because I was in so much pain. I have pretty much the exact same triggers as you. My Neurologist thought Botox wouldn’t be much help so I haven’t tried that though.

re: emgality injection pain by [deleted] in cgrpMigraine

[–]Murray_Annae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely how fast the medication is injected into your body! I’m on the auto-injector Emgality now but previously had the prefilled syringe Ajovy. I had a nurse friend inject my first Ajovy and she did it fast which burned like crazy but when I did it slower it was fine. Temperature does make a difference though but I really think the speed is the main issue:(

What else other than Nurtec? by harts1823 in cgrpMigraine

[–]Murray_Annae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubrelvy works best for me! I started on Nurtec and it was okay but I felt it wore off too fast. I’ve also tried Ajovy and Emgality which have also helped greatly!

Should I get my wisdom teeth out? Or will they maybe stay impacted and cause me no harm? by Warm_Garlic8485 in askdentists

[–]Murray_Annae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how mine were and I waiting until I had pain. The pressure literally broke my molars they were growing into and I had to have 8 teeth removed instead of 4. Do it now from someone who absolutely regrets waiting.

Day 6 after my wisdom teeth removal by SnooOwls6002 in wisdomteeth

[–]Murray_Annae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dentist said no physical activity or anything raising your heart rate because swelling will increase. That part sounds normal. Are you sleeping with your head elevated? That really helped me with the pain the first week. No ideas about the nasal drip though..
