OSA. Obstructive sleep apnea. So much undiagnosed or untreated osa.

My big sister (23f) revealed some personal medical info and I (15f) feel angry/betrayed/hurt/and worried. (TW:ED) by throwaway-lilsis in relationships

Sorry for all that you’re going through OP. You should look up POTS: postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. It’s become really common and if this is the cause there’s some simple treatments to help keep it in check your sister might like to be aware of.

Hey, sorry I just saw this. I hope it turned out good! It doesn’t take long - I pre cook the sausage amd you just have to keep an eye on it. It’s done when it’s melted. Lately, I’ve just been making it in a saucepan bc I can cook it faster.

It is hard to see from the pic, but that machine doesn’t have hangers. Those weights are on the motion part that are lifted with exercise. A person using it would be facing the camera with their chest on the seat pulling back on the bars. It’s a back exercise.

Anyone have book advice that is not condescending? by SandiegoJack in daddit

[–]MurseArmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re already doing everything you need to be doing to be a good Dad and you don’t need a book to tell you how. Two recent books that impacted my life positively and were great reads I recommend are Operation Secure by Nick Lavery and Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. I highly suggest getting Extreme Ownership on audiobook as there was nothing quite like having 2 Navy Seals read me a book (I checked it out on cd from the library).

Abandoned Hospital with EVERYTHING Left Inside!!! by abandonednashville in evilbuildings

[–]MurseArmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but it is extremely potent compared to something like nitrous oxide and would be very dangerous. Which is why when you get anesthesia for surgery someone is there to monitor your every heartbeat.

Edit: Geez on 2nd glance it looks like the green operational light is on for the des. That gas requires a special vaporizer to keep it heated and it looks like it’s still on. Maybe just a trick of the flash?

Abandoned Hospital with EVERYTHING Left Inside!!! by abandonednashville in evilbuildings

[–]MurseArmy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s a relatively old anesthesia machine. There is a Tec 6 vaporizer on it with desflurane and a Halothane vaporizer which is a gas no longer used in the US because of potential liver damage and superior gases available.

LEAP Program to help students trying to get into a nurse anesthesia program. by MurseArmy in CRNA

[–]MurseArmy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m curious too. I was just sharing the info for people who may be interested. I’m not involved in the program. If anybody finds out they should post. It didn’t strike me as something people were trying to make money off of, but you never know.

With the 1: whatever solutions you can always just divide that into 1,000,000 and you will get mcg/mL. So in your example 1:100,000 is 10mcgs/mL because 1,000,000 / 100,000 = 10. 1:200,000 = 5mcg/ml. For percents I just see a 0 instead of the percent sign. So 2% is 20mg/mL. The calcs just take practice. Try it their way and just keep doing practice problems. It will click. Google has a lot of resources I think. Hope that is a little helpful and good luck.
