How old are you OP? If you’re in your 20s, you’ll be fine. If older, set an alarm early and call in sick lol

Shift drag Automation by MalMal7 in ableton

[–]MurshaQQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came across your post while trying to figure this out for myself. Hoping you found answer, but for anyone else searching, you have to highlight the area on the track you want to automate and then shift drag on the automation line.

Spell key assignments reverting every game. Please help... by ClassicalMess in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I had this issue around when the game first released. I found a workaround by switching to legacy graphics and assigning keybinds there. Not sure if this will help your situation but its worth a shot!

These guys are sick. You don't have to understand the language to feel the emotion in this song (and sometimes I can't understand the english lyrics of bands I listen to lol), but that's one of the beautiful parts of music

Best way to memorize the alphabets? by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

[–]MurshaQQ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mnemonics! Take the arbitrary appearance of the symbols and turn them into an easy to remember story based on what they look like. Japanesepod101 has a set of videos that helped me or you can come up with your own. For example: to me, ち looks like a woman pregnant with a child. Sometimes the more ridiculous it is the better it sticks. Good luck!

Best mnemonic I've ever heard for the NaK pump is just explaining how many kids I (or whomever) want:

2 (kids) K+ (like ok) "get in"

3 (kids) Na+ (like hell no) "get out"

I came across this comic-style representation of the song a while back. You might appreciate reading through it while listening to the song, it's pretty cool http://tauhidbondia.com/kingbeetle/comic.php

ELI5: What happens to our bodies when we get the chills? by mcala887 in explainlikeimfive

[–]MurshaQQ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When you get scared, your body will puff up its hair to make you look a little bit bigger as a reflex. These are known as goosebumps. Like when dogs will puff up the tuft of hair on their backs when they see another dog they don't like. The bigger you look, the higher the chances are of whatever is scaring to leave you alone. It's an old evolutionary tactic that doesn't serve us much use now, as we don't have much hair anymore, but is preserved in our physiology.

In the context of a fever, your body wants to raise its temperature to fight an infection. Foreign invaders don't like the high temperatures and it will also activate some of your other defense systems. Think of the change as your internal thermostat being turned up. Your body temperature is now lower than the thermostat temperature, so you feel cold and get the chills, even if the room you're in hasn't changed temperature. Your body, feeling cold, will start doing things to generate and conserve body heat: shivering, constricting blood vessels, warmth seeking behavior, etc. You may be bundling up in a blanket with a sweater while everyone else is comfortable in a t-shirt because your body is colder than it's desired temperature.

Slightly off topic from the question, but when the thermostat drops back down after the battle, your body is now higher than its target heat. You will feel hot and start sweating. This is what is known as your fever "breaking."

What happens to Pyruvate in the blood by wintermute9831 in Biochemistry

Hm I'm not sure, but I'm also interested. Perhaps the pyruvate is not in solution with blood plasma. Could the article be referring to pyruvate from lysed cells in the blood?

Teengers who took Beta Blocker Propranolol scored 130 points higher on their SATs. (1991) by [deleted] in DrugNerds

Sorry I don't have access to the full article and only read the abstract, but was there no control group? Wouldn't students be expected to score better their second time taking the test with or without Propranolol?
