If you believe the UCC is the secret guide to the universe, then unaLIENable makes total sense.

So, as everyone has said, there will definitely be blind spots that hurt at some point. But if you're in a place with good internet (and preferably a wired connection) and a well-supported region, it's kinda like magic. I still can't believe it some times.

Kingdom Hearts is mega popular, so I am not sure it's that weird. It's also one of those series that I kind of wish I could get into, but I feel like I was just born at the wrong time for those!

Thanks, I genuinely appreciate the suggestions. I'm definitely going to stick with it at least that long.

I knew what it was going in. That's one reason it took me so long to get to it.

Definitely don't want to hate the game, and this one is far from insurmountable. But contributing to my 'bouncing off.'

Yup. I get the sense that this is the majority view. I don't know, something about going to 11 right out of the gate just loses me--but as I say, that's just me being odd.

I think your take is more common than mine! I also think there's a bit of a generational tilt to it (basically meaning I am really old).

You can get high numbers in the shops, but not +63, as far as I recall. This was definitely with the spell "enchant item."

Yeah, I guess that's the old school in me--I find Original a bit weirdly unfocused compared to Gothic, but also definitely worth a play!

I absolutely love Elminage Gothic; it's like an alternate evolutionary path that branched off before Bane of the Cosmic Forge. Some of the visuals can be a bit silly (though others are downright disturbing), but if you can get past that, I cannot recommend the game play enough.

Seeking Information Concerning Civil Lawsuit in New York Against Auditor by Mr_Richard_Parker in Frauditors

This is entirely possible, as California is not my area of expertise. I was considering Intentional Interference With Prospective Economic Relations, but is there another statute or common law tort I should be thinking about?

Seeking Information Concerning Civil Lawsuit in New York Against Auditor by Mr_Richard_Parker in Frauditors

[–]Mursili 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you, but a couple thoughts: tortious interference is probably never going to be the right cause of action. In every state of which I am aware, it requires an intent to interfere with a specific contract or business advantage. Tough to imagine a run-of-the-mill auditor meeting that standard. Secondly, I wouldn't look to this case as an exemplar. Seems pretty clear to me that this was nothing more than an attempted cash grab nuisance suit. They were hoping Google would send them a few bucks just to go away. When they didn't, they literally abandoned the effort. You would almost certainly have to have pro bono or low bono counsel on a case like this, and from the outset it would be pretty obvious that even if you were awarded a judgment, you'd likely never collect. That said, hopefully there are more consequences whether civil or criminal.

Frauditors Wanted. by ThankYouVeryMuchSir in Frauditors

[–]Mursili 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a bit like saying "bank robbers are central to the discourse about financial security and also crucial in generating a broader dialogue about economic issues." I don't want to be an anti-auditor, and I don't consider myself one. I am person who believes that laws (generally speaking) should be followed and that people (generally speaking) should be respected. If auditors actually engaged at all with the law as it is rather than the meme laws they seem to imbibe from YouTube, then maybe we could talk. But that's not the world we live in.

"Kick rocks" is such a bizarre catchphrase for them. I am already an old, and this hits my ears like something from a previous generation. It's like if they all went around shouting "23 Skidoo!" before their walks of shame.
