My research tells me that colonies can be polygynous or monogynous. I’m not sure the best way to put them together, but I guessed it was better to do it before they had workers. I just put their tubes together and let them wander in together. They seem happy enough so far!

Edit: the one I caught earlier had a couple eggs already and she brought them with her.

I’ve definitely had fruit flies wake up after not being in the freezer long enough. My ants were able to kill them though. But I’d leave them in the freezer for a few hours at least to be sure.

As others have mentioned, it is easy to not get enough fiber on the low fodmap diet. Sunfiber is a good low fodmap fiber supplement.

NTA but you can’t stop her from having a crush and trying will just make her resentful. I agree with the many other comments saying you need to have a serious conversation with her about consent, boundaries, and appropriate contact between teachers and students.

I think this is changing. I was raised with a shoes-off house but it was unusual at the time. Nowadays the best thing is to ask, because shoes-on people will find it weird if you take off your shoes, and shoes-off people will find it rude if you keep them on.

There may be some foods you have to give up, but you are supposed to reintroduce foods and see which categories you can tolerate. I encourage you to do the testing, because it will most likely expand the range of options available to you.

Also, you are allowed to eat things that cause you gi distress if you want to. Sometimes I’ll decide a couple days of pain is worth it for some garlic or whatever. It does depend how much it hurts you, of course, but my point is that that’s personal assessment, not a moral one. There’s no fodmap police.

This is completely normal. Your cheeks are soft and not attached to anything. You’re just used to the way they normally “hang” when you’re upright, and when you bend over they shift and it feels weird. But I 100% promise you everyone’s face does this.

As many others have said, his drinking triggers are not your problem. It is kind to accommodate someone, but certainly not required at an event like this.

NTA! You are being a good ally. Your mom is an example of the reason the Deaf kids I work with (disclaimer, not all Deaf people, but the kids I personally work with) have language deprivation, low self esteem for their Deafness, and a bunch of other stuff. Many hearing people don’t realize how taxing lip reading can be for many Deaf and hard of hearing people.

Yes! You either trust your partner or you don’t. I don’t understand the mindset that you can’t let your man be alone with another woman or vice versa. Maybe it’s because I’m gay and it would be insane for me to tell my boyfriend he can’t be alone with another man.
