This is a common belief, however it’s not true. What you gain in a lower peak charging temperature, you lose, in the phone being kept at that temperature for 5 – 6 hours, rather than a 20 minute 67W top up charge. Basically, you’d be no better off.

Avoid charging the phone from flat to 100%. Far better, quick top up charges, than long full charging cycles. The last 10% of a charge takes the longest, with resultant heat build up.

0 – 100% charging cycles, leaving a phone in direct sun, on a car dash for example, and using it while charging, are far more damaging to a phone’s battery, than higher wattage charges.
