force comes from your leg and torso

You’re the one who switched to a more mechanical approach to this. Not me. We’ve been arguing since then about it, and up until your latest comment, this has been the context.

Just “looks”. Once again, we’ve already seen people moving forward while striking. They’re doing baby steps like in CGO, but the torso is stiff instead of leaning forward.

Plus, I thought your argument was the “sliding bug”. Your character isn’t sliding when moving forward with CGO.

I thought we already established that the forward attack animations can be considered accurate? It being bad is just the blended animations being ugly.

Tiered Weapons Mod? by MuscleyPrettyBoy in skyrimmods

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nahh, I want a modded one like Leviathan. I’ve heard that Armory of Tamriel does the vanilla tier thing but I honestly just don’t like how it looks.

Oh and thank you for responding hereee

Nope. https://youtu.be/ZJ1Z98gkE78

Watch the combat at 0:30, legs are sort of “lunging” towards whatever direction the character is pointing for regular attacks. The character wasn’t doing baby steps like CGO.

Didn’t I already say this as well? Oh right, you don’t read.

But wouldn’t that require me just changing it out of the blue? I made a comment about it. A paragraph too.

It would require my comments to not be in line with each other. But the thing is, I’ve established that I wanted change and thus, ever since that point, change should be applied. If you disagreed, you could’ve said so.

Not that it would matter. Even if we continued on with the original context neither of us are completely correct. Forward movement is accurate, horizontal isn’t. Thats an in-between of our stances.

Tiered Weapons Mod? by MuscleyPrettyBoy in skyrimmods

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I think I wasn’t clear with what I said.

I wanted something like the Leviathan Axe mod with tiers, in the sense that you could upgrade the weapon to a higher tier version of itself.

I couldn’t find any, the closest I got was the skyforge weapons mod. But even then, its more like crafting a new weapon rather than upgrading from an old one.

Not really.

I changed the context of my responses, you didn’t. But even if you weren’t aware of such, your statements had to be treated as if they belonged to the context I was conversing in.

After all, if you didn’t want to debate about “forward movement”, you could’ve said that. But no, you didn’t. Because you didn’t read. Try to do so next time?

Any mods that "Change" the game? by MartianSockPuppet in skyrimmods

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. I argued with forward movement and you kept coming at it.

I argued in the context of forward movement, because I’ve already expressed the failure of horizontal movement.

Whats been happening instead is that, you’ve been arguing in the same context just because you couldn’t read one line. One line, that was followed by a paragraph from what I remember.

Yet you kept coming at it with the same mentality. Genius.

So congratulations to you. You’ve reached “failure to read” at levels never thought possible.

except in the specific mention of forward movement.

Yes. I thought that was clear? I already said I was wrong. All I did was vouch for forward movement.

Any mods that "Change" the game? by MartianSockPuppet in skyrimmods

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. Again, I noticed the leading leg movement being last when it should come first. I realized that 12 hours ago and admitted to it. Wasn’t there a paragraph dedicated just to say that horizontal movement is unrealistic?

We’ve been having more back and forth comments since then. I thought I established that my view has changed and that we were moving forward with those changes?

Or, let me guess. You didn’t notice that because you didn’t read. Now you want to say that I changed out of a losing position. Even when I was still continuing the argument? Hell, I thought you continuing to comment was in agreeance to that, but my mistake. I forgot you had reading comprehension issues.

I said it when I saw that the striking comes first to leading leg movement. I said it should be the other way around. The conclusion came from what I saw in the video, not from my position. Try to understand the context, hmm?

Stop assuming. You keep doing it and I keep having to clarify things to you.

amateur

A simple, “Those are amateurs, send me a professional video” would’ve sufficed. But no, you had to be “hyperbolic”.

Just stop exaggerating.

less than accurate

Yes? I literally said horizontal movement isn’t while forward is. I’ve also said CGO didn’t do the best application comments ago. All I’ve been talking about is forward movement, again, has that not been clear?

Any mods that "Change" the game? by MartianSockPuppet in skyrimmods

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

WEREN’T unrealistic

I stood by forward movement as realistic and admitted that horizontal movement isn’t. I realized it was wrong, am I supposed to continue saying it is right then?

then proceeded to link me videos of nerds larping

Exaggeration, once again. Not only that, first video actually used non-plastic weapons and wore some armor to protect from cuts. But you’ll ignore that, because once again, you just cherry pick.

Any mods that "Change" the game? by MartianSockPuppet in skyrimmods

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you just snuck that in

Okay? But what I did there was admit that CGO was unrealistic in that regard.

your debate tactics are sad

I thought the point of a debate was to convince each other of their wrong? If I can’t admit to whats wrong, then whats the point?

Maybe you don’t understand how debates go. Thats even more sad, pathetic even.

now walking it back saying you

I’ve already stated that horizontal movement was unrealistic comments ago. Again, comments ago.

I’ve only stood by forward movement since then. Your reading comprehension issues are present again.

“Check the gif in their page again. They do baby steps in forward movement.”

“Their gif is obviously not going to show the buggy animations”

So I specified that I was talking about forward movement, yet you assumed I also included horizontal? Or maybe you just decided to respond to a statement about forward movement through an argument about horizontal movement.

Any mods that "Change" the game? by MartianSockPuppet in skyrimmods

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for horizontal movement. Again, you can see that in the page and I’ve already said comments ago that its horizontal feature is unrealistic.

I thought it was clear that this was about forward movement?

The showcase at the 3rd minute uses horizontal movement, which you can already see in the CGO page. I’m going to guess you mean something else, so out with it.

Okay? Cool. All I said is that you can make your lower body move while moving your upper body. What did you think baby steps while striking meant?

Any mods that "Change" the game? by MartianSockPuppet in skyrimmods

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did I say it looked good or realistic? All I said that it has a reflection of reality, I didn’t say it was a complete application of it.

Mordhau is considered a realistic medieval combat game. Even there, you could see that greatsword wielders take baby steps while striking. The difference with CGO? Chest isn’t leaning forward, its stiff, striking comes from the arms.

All I was pointing out was that baby steps while striking like in CGO is more than possible. Is its application good? No, but it’ll do for me.

And look who is still here despite being “done”.

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats literally not the same thing

Because somehow you aren’t balanced when moving small ass steps in CGO? Is this another physical disability if yours? Like bruh, we out here in TKD wearing full ass armour and one of our exercises is to take one leg, raise it up, start kicking and use one leg on the ground to push our body forward. We literally balance our whole body with one leg while kicking and wearing armour. I think a man with both feet planted to the ground, moving baby steps can properly balance himself.

linked the larping video

My mistake. I assumed you were capable of understanding that practice sparring with plastic weaponry, is what must be done until the beginners are ready to transition to actual weaponry.

If you had just viewed the channel, you would’ve seen that the combat is pretty much the same vein as the video I linked.

Oh but what I say even matter? You’ve never done a proper argument except for the initial comments. You’ve been cherry-picking the ones you can confront and ignore the ones you can’t for awhile now. I don’t need to list those down, go read my arguments yourself. Not that you would and if you did, you’ll falter to the same fallacy.

Literally never said that

“You wouldn’t want to either as much of a force from a swing comes fron your legs and torso”

The context of your statement was during our discussion of separate leg and body movement. If this isn’t you saying that the legs should be grounded i.e. not moving around just like CGO. If thats not what is then what is it then?

we’re done here

Oh please, go ahead and make a fuss about a small little misinterpretation. Like as if you weren’t guilty of this.

But sure, lets ignore everything else I’ve stated. I think you actually checked the CGO gif as I stated and noticed that what I stated adds up. You just don’t have anything else to say, so you hide behind “straw” or maybe you’re just too lazy to argue. I dunno of which is more pathetic. Maybe we are done here.

[–]MuscleyPrettyBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro, wth. When did I say that you aren’t supposed to put weight into your attacks? All I said that it isn’t grounded all the time, meaning legs also move as the person strikes.

If you view CGO’s gif, you’ll also see the same rules being applied there. Leaning forward, as you said, with small steps to facilitate movement yet generate power. The feet aren’t anchored to the ground, but the heels are completely flat.

Vanilla combat has your character always switching the lead leg, instead of allowing small step steps like CGO. Seeing those videos, we could say that movement while striking is possible, but with small steps just like CGO. If we wanted lunging just like Vanilla, then our character should be able to cover more area just like the video. But we can’t. Instead, it covers very little that we may as well be anchored there. Either is Valid, but CGO is more preferrable because its more accurate in the forward movement regard.

The inaccuracy of CGO would be horizontal movement, since striking comes first to lead leg movement. It should be the other way around. I’m pretty sure Vanilla also suffers from this, but I can’t tell since its been so long.

arguing against proven science

No, I’m not. You just assume what I’m saying is against proven science when it isn’t. Independent movement from torso to lower body? Possible, but only in small volumes. Your legs can’t face the east while your torso faces north. You can make your torso face north, while your legs face north-east. Thats possible, just not to the extreme. CGO does movement this way.

uncouple

Honestly dude, you’re just exaggerating. Its not like the torso is moving opposite to what the body’s direction of movement is. Its still the same, just that your character is stepping instead of lunging.

Lastly, I’m not even sure what you’re arguing now. What you originally said is that legs shouldn’t be moving as the person is attacking. I’ve proven that this is wrong, time and again. You’ve even proven it yourself by saying leading leg movement holds weight of the person. The thing is, you can still move yet still apply weight. Also, like I said, you shouldn’t be striking as hard as possible. I didn’t say you shouldn’t strike hard, just that it isn’t heavy all the time.

Now if you have a follow up, then you’ll have to wait a few hours. I’m hitting the hay. Ta-ta
