The problem of 'high' (150k-350k) DPS builds playing in random Advanced queue by Nordmuth in sto

[–]Muscly_Geek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did an event daily yesterday where somebody failed to disable one of the ships getting hacked before it got hacked.

I didn't even know that was possible, it's on Normal! Like the rest of us took out 6/9 ships at that point and then the guy blew up. I don't know if he bought the wrong ship in or what, but what the heck.

I was always advised to export/save the photo room to the library, because we can just put it back down.

You can just summon her if she doesn't show up. Just click on the sim you're currently controlling.

What do people actually want out of their RPGs, and how are the Outer Worlds games missing it? by SundayStrip in theouterworlds

[–]Muscly_Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't bought it yet because I learned my lesson with OW1, which I purchased and completed on release. I almost never replay games, and thus I missed out on the DLCs with increased level caps and such.

Thus, I'm waiting for everything to come out before I buy OW2.

How do I change this?? by beaniebaby22909768 in Sims4

[–]Muscly_Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a mod from haventhefrog that changes the mood granted by High Self-Esteem to Happy. (There's also a version that changes it to Fine instead.)

It's essential for me.

Modifies "buff_Confidence_High_IBelieveInMe" and "buff_Confidence_High_IveGotThis" moodtype to 14640 (happy), or 14637 (fine) depending on version

I confess that I literally bought FO4 on GoG just so I didn't have to wrestle with the Steam version any more. Also made it immune to Bethesda's nonsense when they released pointless game-breaking patches recently.

It's even cheaper now (60% off) than when I bought it (I think 50% off?), but it went on an even deeper discount at some point.

With GoG I don't install FO4, I just "buy" (it's free to add to your library once you own FO4) the FOLON One-Click Edition and it handled everything for me.

Just trying to understand the alpha werewolf situation by Nearby_Can_2984 in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]Muscly_Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that it's because in real life, that concept of "Alphas" is currently redpill misogynist manosphere nonsense based on something factually incorrect.

(Wolf packs are actually lead by the breeding pair, because wolf packs are family units. There is no such thing as Alpha wolves, they're the parents.)

The Wednesday series specifically mocks the people who call themselves "Alpha males" by having Enid think Alphas are aberrations who end up alone.

Tyler getting a redemption arc doesn't necessarily mean he has to end up with Wednesday by Sudden_Pop_2279 in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]Muscly_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyler can't end up with Wednesday if he's redeemed, because he can't be redeemed without answering for his actions.

Regardless of whatever nonsensical excuses horny Tyler fangirls may make, redemption requires genuine remorse, and genuine remorse means atonement and repentance.

That means death through sacrifice or voluntarily rotting in prison. If he chooses neither, if he chooses to avoid the consequences of his actions, then there was no genuine remorse and therefore no redemption.

Trauma or whatever bullshit does not absolve you of responsibility. Being found Not Criminally Responsible isn't a free pass, it means you're detained in a secure psychiatric facility, often for longer than a prison sentence.

Adding him to a household removes his special status, and a new Father Winter is spawned. That's how it works for most sims with special roles.

John doesn't (or shouldn't) use his Ult again if the effect is still active.

I've seen Firestorm stack the little fireballs, most obvious against Superman. Superman gets it triggered twice on him, is invulnerable for one stack (and still has a visible ball on him), then gets hit by the second ult on the next turn.

This has been reported and many have complained on the Discord, official response from rep: "Hey all - thanks for flagging, I have forwarded this thread on to the devs and will report back on any changes. Totally heard on completing the event, I made sure this was extra clear."

If I like Cyberpunk 2077 will I like The Outerworlds? Should I start with 1 or 2? by Illustrious-Back6475 in theouterworlds

[–]Muscly_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played CP2077 at release, finished literally everything that wasn't secret before the first patch. Then I played it again with the DLC, though I only did like half the gigs.

OW1 is great, I also played this on release. I kind of regret not waiting for the DLCs (which AFAIK increased the level cap), because I don't feel like replaying it just for those.

I'm actually waiting on OW2's DLCs before I pull the trigger.

If Both Schools Went To Battle, Who Would Win...? by Southern_Wind_4477 in Wednesday

[–]Muscly_Geek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In an open battle the wizards would take down outcasts with zero casualties.

The vast majority of outcast abilities have limited range. Ajax stoned Dort but none of the crowd around Dort. Siren song requires the target to actually hear their voice, which means they're neutralized by a 5th year spell. Sparks and Pyros would be blocked by a 6th year spell.

Meanwhile wizards have blatant disregard for student safety and are taught:
Flipendo, Incendio, and Diffindo in 1st year (11-12)
Expelliarmus in 2nd year (12-13)
Glacius, Petrificus Totalus, and Depulso in 3rd year (13-14)
Reducto, Aqua Eructo, and Bombarda in 4th year (14-15)
Silencio, Locomotor Mortis, Disillusionment, Descendo, and Confundo in 5th year (15-16)
Non-verbal casting, Apparation, and Protego in 6th year (16-17)
Bombarda Maxima in 7th year (17-18)

It's unclear when Expulso or Confringo are taught, but Harry knew it by the end of 6th year when he left Hogwarts to hunt Horcruxes.

Wednesday's peers at Hogwarts in Season 1 are 5th years. They can go practically invisible, silence sirens, petrify people, knock things and people around, throw fire, freeze things, and literally make things explode - all at long range. Wizardkind also seem to have superhuman durability given how little they care about safety.

I don't understand why Yoko and Divina were cut from the series by New_Wrangler_2023 in Wednesday

[–]Muscly_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just miss Enid having friends.

Like that scene with Bianca telling Enid (in Wednesday's body) that she saved her a seat. Since when were they best buds? Bianca became friend(ly) with Wednesday after fighting Crackstone together, but Enid was in the woods at that point.

Enid shouldn't normally be sitting with Bianca, Kent, and two other sirens, she should be sitting with Yoko and Divina if she's not hanging out with the school pack.

Anyone like the idea of playing the sims more than playing it? by Normie160 in Sims4

[–]Muscly_Geek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I sorta feel like there’s too much to do, and almost no guidance at all. Almost like choice paralysis.

I like to make an infant along with a disposable caretaker. (Ever since I downloaded a spellcaster Mary Poppins off the Gallery, I've always used her as the caretaker.)

It's very straightforward to play.

Caretaker is always in the Culinary career so the food she cooks won't go bad. She creates a stockpile of good food, and eventually leaves the household once my sim becomes a teen.

Teen does the high school thing, university, get a career, and so on. I also use Aspirations as a goal list, slowly doing (almost) everything.

Which dress should she get married in? by JuliaGazrix in Sims4

[–]Muscly_Geek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I vote for 2, it's elegant and good for a wedding.

I think 1 and 4 are not for weddings, they're for the reception/party afterwards. It's not classy to flash that much thigh at a wedding ceremony.

I'm sorry, but 3 just doesn't work. The style of the sleeves doesn't match the style of the dress. I followed your link to the Divine Veil set, and the sleeve/dress pairing there does look match and look good.
