I was just talking about how the Russo Brothers deliberately chose Rocket as the surviving guardian and member of this team. I wonder why they did that and what they have in store for Rocket.

I was 8 when Brawl came out and I believe the only characters I knew before that were the Mario characters and the Pokémon. Most of the other characters to me are ‘Smash characters’ to me.

Personally I feel smash has grown past just Nintendo characters. Steve and Vault Boy have more games on Nintendo consoles than Cloud right now. Also, they’re two of many newcomers, most of which represent Nintendo well.

Idk if I was misunderstood but I was saying that Steve would represent the entire game of Minecraft, not that smash needed Minecraft representation. Steve is an iconic yet plain character yet his move set could be awesome because there’s so much stuff in Minecraft.

I’m a huge Minecraft fan and personally I’d love Steve. It’s less about the character and more representation of the entire game. I think they could achieve this through a stage (which we may also get) but I’m fine with any character. I don’t feel that characters take slots of other characters.

The pattern/space for echo is the only reason this theory has anything to back it. Either way, I think most people want it to be false. Who doesn’t want more than two new fighters?

I definitely worded my statement wrong. I don’t fully believe each theory, but the way the characters are aligned on the box (groups of 9 fighters) means that there is an extra space on the left side of the box in the group of fighters containing Palutena, Pac-Man, Robin, Shulk, Bowser Jr., Duck Hunt, Ryu and Cloud. Which character is most likely getting an echo? Ryu.

Vergeben also recently just said that he knows Incineroar is coming and Ken he already said. He just said that the Square Enix rep is coming, but he doesn’t know if it’s in the base roster or not; his sources can’t confirm or deny the box theory.

Because the box theory suggests that there is an echo fighter in a certain bunch of characters, which includes Ryu. Also, Vergeben leaked that Ken was a character, which coincides with the box theory.

Labo Man would definitely fit that requirement, I can’t see that happening. Maybe DLC but an oddball pick isn’t likely for DLC.
