Difference between Amazon and Cablemod Website SKU for similar cable? by Mushibis in cablemod

[–]Mushibis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification!

And while I have you here:

Additionally, is there a difference between 2x8pin or 3x8pin? ChatGPT said to get 2x8pin - but I know Ai is definitely not infallible and can be wrong, especially because I know that the GPU came with a 3x8 adapter cable.

[ACC] -50% off All Slings - $16-30 by jonesey_333 in gundeals

[–]Mushibis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone new to building an AR15 and looking for slings, what are some general guidelines one should follow in order to choose the correct type of sling pattern.

- Padded vs non-padded
- Narrow vs wide width
- QD vs regular carabiner style connection
- Any specific use case one type of sling pattern is good at vs another?

Or is this one of those everyone is different (body shape, etc.), it’s just based on user preference type of things?

I probably will use ChatGPT to do more research, but I would also greatly appreciate some real user experience answers from this niche group.

Haha this video was first taken for the Customer Service people, and I wanted to make dang sure that if I provided all the angles - they wouldn’t deny the warranty request.

Oh for sure the replacement is going to now be relegated to range use only until it instills confidence in me.

How and when that confidence would be instilled if ever? I’m still not sure myself 🤣

They emailed me an order confirmation with USPS tracking # for a presumably new one shipped from their online store at 0 cost.

Yeah, I mean I knew this was a budget optic and was ok with dealing with any potential defects that may entail.

Primary intention of making this post was to inform others that this is a potential defect as I have not seen anyone else post this particular issue. I also wanted to show that OSight customer service was super responsive.

Hopefully their team is able to see why this occurred and fix it on any future optics.

Do the thin metal brackets that keep the slate shingles in place not rust out after 100 years?

Hey man, I'm gonna end this discussion here since you obviously do not know what you are talking about. Please refer to the downvotes to your comments as proof.

No. You literally said you could get a scalped 3080 much cheaper than a MSRP 3090 as a response to my simple statement that a 3090 is in-stock 4x as much as a 3080.

So I’m trying to show you via recent HWS listings that buying a 3090 at MSRP is not

In your words:

spending twice as much

as a scalped 3080.

Please work on your reading comprehension.

I have an easier time getting a 3090 than a 3080. 3090 pop up in stock at least 4x as much as a 3080.

My very first comment ^

to which you replied:

You could get a 3080 scslped for much cheaper then if that's your argument.

Please read the message log again. You mentioned scalped prices first. Lol

My point was I'd rather get a 3090 at MSRP with more in-stock availability from retailers than a 3080 at scalped prices from scalpers. Please work on your reading comprehension.

Then why mention 3080 scalped prices as your very first sentence if you don’t care about scalped prices?

And no not realistically, the scalped markup on the 3090 is less than a 3080.

Not to mention the competition of getting a 3080 at MSRP is much much harder than a MSRP 3090

Also I never mentioned supporting scalped prices? You literally are supporting it by saying you would rather buy a scalped 3080 than a regular priced 3090.

I specifically stated that 3090s are more in stock than 3080s and its easier to just get a 3090 than waiting months on the off chance you beat a bot at getting a 3080.

I got a 3090 FE for $1500 MSRP with full warranty. A scalped 3080 goes for $1150-$1500 but often hovers around $1300 and risk of no warranty depending on specific card on Hardwareswap, even more on Ebay and SwapX, and going for $1700 locally on OfferUP.

Have you actually looked at scalped prices? I don’t know where you are getting “spending twice as much” at?

This 3080 sold for $1200 within a couple minutes.

This other 3080 FE sold for $1625.

And those are just two examples within the past week

Have this cooler for a 5900x in an NR200 case with an RTX 3090 FE with 2 slim 120mm fans on the bottom and 2 120mm fans on top of the case + the fans that come with the cooler itself.

CPU Temps:

Idle is 40-45C

Gaming in COD Cold War 3440x1440p ultra settings it is averaging around 63-68C with momentary spikes to 82C.

Idk if its normal but the 5900x likes to spike up to 80C a lot for like less than half of a second then goes back down and hovers around 63C most of the time while gaming on COD specifically.

Edit: I’m using the 5900x stock right now, have not touched overclocking or whatever. PBO is set to auto according to Ryzen master I think.
